Week 7 was a high scoring fantasy week thanks to a lot of the chalk plays coming through especially at the wide receiver position. As a result, the Consensus list had the highest DailyOverlay score all season with a 3.55. For Week 7, Rotowire led the way with a strong group of selections. The Overall Standings have very little movement at the top but there is a lot of shifting around just outside the top four sites with 13 sets of picks ranging from scores of 3.29 to 3.00.

Be sure to come back each week for a review of the Industry Consensus picks highlighting the top (and bottom) grades for the week and season from the experts we are tracking. For Week 7 we tracked and graded 23 sets of experts picks including the Industry Consensus list. You can view all expert’s overall rankings on the Expert Grading page.

On to the Week 7 grades, class is in session!

QB (Score: 3.73 / Rank 11th out of 24) – A solid middle of the pack finish at QB for the Consensus with average performances from many of the QB’s on the list but top level scores from players such as Andy Dalton, Kirk Cousins and Tyrod Taylor.

RB (Score: 2.50 / Rank 11th out of 23) – Another position where the Consensus was solid with good fantasy scores pretty much across the board along with the top play at the position Melvin Gordon showing up in the Suggested section.

WR (Score: 4.44 / Rank 16th out of 23) – Week 7 was a very chalky week at WR with each of the top four recommended players on Consensus list all receiving “A+” grades including Mike Evans, Julio Jones, AJ Green and Tyrell Williams. There were also a few further down the list that also performed well such as TY Hilton, Michael Thomas, Mike Wallace and Jamison Crowder.

TE (Score: 4.29 / Rank 6th out of 23) – Tight end was the top position for the Consensus list including four of the top five players at the position for the week including Jack Doyle, Delanie Walker, Rob Gronkowski and Gary Barnidge.

Study Time – Week 7

If we are going to give a gold star to the top experts of the week, we also need to determine which experts might need to put in some extra study time to pull up those grades. Here are the Week 7 experts that didn’t make the grade this week.

  • GoingFor2 (Score: 2.43) had a down week with five “F” grades from their 14 selections. They were let down by players such as Torrey Smith, Hunter Henry, Cameron Brate and the Patriots defense.
