CFB – Power 5 – Week 6 (Early)
Daily College Fantasy Football Plays for Week 6 Early Slate
The 2019 season is quickly slipping away from us. While this is only Week 6, we are nearing the halfway mark of the regular season.
We’ve quickly seen the pack separate itsself for the 2019 College Football Playoff.
In no particular order…
Alabama
Oklahoma
Clemson
Ohio State
Wisconsin
LSU
Georgia
Auburn
These are the top teams in my book, and they just so happen to be the top 7 teams in the college football rankings. Penn State and Florida are undefeated, but they don’t pass the eye test for me. Losses are in their future. Iowa, Boise State, Wake Forest and SMU are the remaining top-25 teams that are undefeated, but again, I don’t see them as dark horse cinderellas.
This week for the early slate on DraftKings, we have 11 games. Thankfully we don’t have to pick through what Alabama receiver is going to go bonkers. That has been so frustrating for me this season. Devonta Smith has really siphoned production there and that came to a head last week with his eruption.
Anyway, we aren’t here to talk about Alabama, we are here to talk about Oklahoma, Texas, Penn State, LSU and the rest of the early slate.
And away we go…
Jalen Hurts – QB – Oklahoma – $9,300
Analysis: There’s 5-6 QBs that I want to roster. And I started with Spencer Sanders against Texas Tech, but he may not have the upside in that matchup considering someone else on his team should really eat, potentially limiting his upside. But then I started thinking about Hurts more. Initially, it’s scary to roster a high-priced player in a game his team likely wins easily and in a blowout. However, Oklahoma has been so much different with this narrative. Last week, OU destroyed Texas Tech, and while you would think OU’s running backs would get double-digit carries and eat the clock, that didn’t happen. Oklahoma operated with business as usual and that business all runs through Jalen Hurts. This week they draw Kansas, who was just taken to the woodshed by TCU last week. Kansas hasn’t played many good teams this year and this will be the worst draw of the season. Outside of an injury, I find it very difficult for Hurts to fail considering the opponent, the usage and not having to worry about the blowout factor. He does it all and has scored nothing less than 27 DK points in a game this season.
