Consensus Recap – Week 5 – Cash options
The Industry Consensus Cash picks finished with a strong 12th place showing this week out of 35 experts graded.
QB (Score: 4.50 / Rank 17th out of 34) – solid options including the top two QBs (Watson/Ryan) at the top of the list
RB (Score: 3.57 / Rank 17th out of 35) – a little bit of a mixed bag at RB but it still included an “A+” (McCaffrey) and a couple of “A” options (Cook/Fournette)
WR (Score: 3.40 / Rank 10th out of 35) – the cash WR list included four of the top six scorers at the position including Will Fuller, Michael Thomas, Adam Thielen, and Chris Godwin
TE (Score: 3.83 / Rank 10th out of 34) – contained five of the top 10 scores at the position, but the most recommended option (Eifert) put up a dud
D/ST (Score: 10.00 / Rank 1st out of 26) – a perfect 10 with all three D/ST options occupying the top scores at the position
Consensus Recap – Week 5 – GPP options
The Industry Consensus GPP picks had a down week with a 30th place finish out of 35 experts graded.
QB (Score: 2.67 / Rank 24th out of 34) – only Tom Brady delivered among the three QB options
RB (Score: 3.40 / Rank 18th out of 35) – strong GPP options of Aaron Jones and Phillip Lindsay made the list
WR (Score: 1.67 / Rank 24th out of 35) – with so much of the cash game chalk going off at WR, it was hard for the GPP options to make a big impact, but Tyler Boyd and Julian Edelman did produce big days
TE (Score: 2.00 / Rank 19th out of 34) – there was Jared Cook, but nothing else
D/ST (Score: 1.50 / Rank 24th out of 26) – the Steelers D/ST was solid but it went downhill from there
