CFB – Expert Recap and Grades – Week 6
CFB DFS Expert Recap
Welcome to our CFB DFS Expert Recap for the first weekend in October. Week 6 continued an ongoing tie between our in-house Single Play and DailyFantasyInsider as both guys utilized their one play on Chuba Hubbard. Hubbard continued to slice through defenses despite a puzzling loss in Lubbock. Be sure to check out our full CFB Expert Grading and make sure you’re reading our weekly Consensus article which is typically posted around 9am CT on Saturday mornings.

On to the Week 6 grades, class is in session!
Consensus Recap – Week 6
The Consensus stayed consistent with last week. A 3.08 score positioned the Consensus in 16th out of the 23 experts that submitted selections.
Week 6 (Score: 3.08 / Rank 16th out of 23) – The Consensus plays scored over 3.0 for the first time in several weeks. That said, the other experts outpaced the Consensus in Week 6. Five of the 25 Consensus plays scored an “A+” grade.
Head of the Class – Week 6
Each week I will highlight a few of the top experts for the week. Here are the experts that deserve a “gold star” for Week 6 based on their cumulative grades for all players they touted this week. Overall, the scores were a bit lower than the previous week.
#1A) Daily Overlay Single Pick (Score: 10.00) scored an “A+” grade with Chuba Hubbard..
#1B) DailyFantasyInsider (Score: 10.00) also played Hubbard for their “A+” grade. Essentially a repeat of last week from the top-2.
#3A-C) NumberFire, FullTimeFantasy, Sports Gambling Podcast (Score: 5.00) all tied with a solid 5.0 score. NumberFire was the standout as they scored that high while making seven selections.
Head of the Class – Week 6 (By Position)
Sometimes there is just that one class that you excel in. In this section, I will highlight who the top experts were at each position for Week 6.
QB – Rotowire Optimizer (7.50) picked up “A+” and “A” grades from Jalen Hurts and Joe Burrow.
RB – Five Tied (10.00) with perfect scores.
WR – RG Lineup HQ Top 3, RG Consensus Plays (4.33) topped the experts at WR with one “A+” grade, a “B” and a failing grade.
Study Time – Week 6
If we are going to give a gold star to the top experts of the week, we also need to determine which experts might need to put in some extra study time to pull up those grades. Here are the Week 6 experts that didn’t make the grade this week.
- Athlon Sports (Score: 2.07) is our first “Study Time” expert to finish above 2.0. That shows how strong of a week it was for most experts.
- Rotoworld (Score: 0.00) somehow made eight plays and they all finished with a failing grade. I had to actually double check to make sure that was even possible.
Extra Credit – Week 6
In this section, I will look to give some extra credit to experts that received an A+ grade for a player where they were the lone expert to recommend. Week 6 extra credit goes to the following:
A+ – There were no players selected by only one expert that scored an “A+” grade.
Head of the Class – Season
Here are the top experts in the Overall Standings after Week 6 of the season. Our in-house Single Pick still sits tied for 1st place after Greg and DFI both picked Chuba Hubbard.
#1) Daily Overlay Single Pick (Score: 5.88)
#2) DailyFantasyInsider (Score: 5.88)
#3) Sportsline (Score: 4.86)
The DailyOverlay Industry Consensus starts out in 18th place in the overall standings out of 27 experts with a DO score of 3.10.
