Kansas City Chiefs @ Los Angeles Chargers (in Mexico)
Team | QB | RB | Right | Slot | Left | TE | D | K | Vegas |
Kansas City Chiefs | 58 | 59 | 47 | 59 | 59 | 54 | 55 | 74 | -5 |
Los Angeles Chargers | 53 | 70 | 47 | 39 | 33 | 60 | 32 | 47 | 53 |
King
- Melvin Gordon – Gordon has put up strong numbers each of the last two weeks and will the key for the Chargers offense against the Chiefs defense who ranks 31st DVOA against the run and has allowed 115 rushing yards (28th) and 1.0 TDs (25th) per game to RBs over the last five weeks.
Cash Core
- Patrick Mahomes – Mahomes is too pricey for the King slot in Cash games, but make sure to still include him in your lineup. The raw numbers aren’t too bad for the Chargers pass defense, but they do rank just 21st DVOA and have allowed 7.8 yards per attempt (25th) this season.
- Philip Rivers – Lockdown the Chargers touchdowns by rostering Rivers who has a lot of potential targets instead of trying to guess which RB, WR or TE will get the most production.
- Damien Williams – Assuming LeSean McCoy is inactive again, then plug in Williams who had 24 touches last week and is involved in both the running game and ariel attack for the Chiefs. The Chargers have allowed 6.8 receptions (31st) for 61 yards (31st) and 0.6 TDs (26th) per game to pass-catching backs over the last five weeks.
GPP
Mahomes is too expensive for the King slot in Cash games, but that is an even better reason to use him in the King slot for GPPs. Include two of his cheaper receiving options with your favorites among Sammy Watkins, Mercole Hardman, and DeMarcus Robinson. Then bring it back with the Chargers passing game including Philip Rivers and Mike Williams, along with a pivot at RB to Austin Ekeler who should get more targets then Gordon if the Chargers are playing catchup.
