Trae Young is one of two top dogs on 6-game slate

We are nearing the end of 2019 now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, and we are right in the smack of December.

Christmas is fast approaching as well, and that is one of the best NBA slates of the year. We had the awesome NFL Thanksgiving slate, and I am ready for that second helping. The NBA, despite its playoff and regular season shortcomings, has really made the Christmas slate something great.

But I digress. Today we have a worthy 6-game slate of action to sift through in the Association, so let’s find five plays that can be our core plays for the Value Index tonight! All salaries and recommendations below are based on DraftKings scoring and pricing.

Trae Young – PG – Atlanta Hawks – $10,500

Analysis: Fifth overall in the NBA in usage rate among qualified players, Trae Young is the top spend up option on tonight’s slate against the Warriors, who are 15th overall in pace of play. Atlanta is 12th overall in pace of play. Both teams get up and down the court. Playing guys against the Warriors has been a gold mine so far. The Warriors are 7th in fantasy points allowed to opposing point guards. This is an eruption spot for Young, who can hit that 60-70 fantasy point ceiling game at this price.
