NFL DFS Showdown – Week 4 (Thursday) – MIA v CIN
We have a good one lined up on Thursday night between the Dolphins and the Bengals. With a tight line (3.5) and a fairly high total (47.5), this game could provide plenty of fantasy points. There seems to be an easy path to a high-floor lineup with some upside in Cash games. Meanwhile, I’m all-in on one passing game in GPPs.

Captain
- Joe Burrow – I like the Bengals passing game in this matchup as the Dolphins rank 29th DVOA against the pass. They have allowed 310 passing yards (31st) and 2.0 TD passes (23rd) per game. Meanwhile, Burrow has averaged 271 passing yards and 2.0 TD passes which give him a high floor at a reasonable price to use in the Captain spot.
Cash Core
- Tee Higgins – While I do like Ja’Marr Chase more than Higgins, the price difference makes Higgins an easy play in Cash. Higgins gets a similar target share as Chase and you save almost $3,000.
- Joe Mixon – Honestly, I don’t love this matchup for Mixon as the Dolphins’ run defense has been good so far this year. However, the price tag and volume put Mixon in the mix as a strong Cash game option.
- Raheem Mostert – Mostert has more rushing attempts than Chase Edmonds in each of the last two weeks and is $1,800 cheaper than Edmonds. The Dolphins could look to work in the ground game a little more in this matchup on a short week with Tua Tagovailoa banged up.
GPP
Load up on the Bengals’ passing game in GPPs. Plug Chase into the captain slot then use Joe Burrow and one more Bengals pass-catching option. Also, consider using the Dolphins’ DST with the hopes of a touchdown to force Burrow and the passing game to keep their foot on the gas. Bring it back with either Tyreek Hill or Jaylen Waddle and a cheap healthy Dolphins receiver.
