CFB DFS Expert Recap Week 8
Welcome to our CFB DFS Expert Recap for Week 8. Jalen Hurts and Joe Burrow continue to top the Heisman contenders as well as churn out “A+” grades each week. They’re becoming auto plays despite the outrageous prices they are commanding. Our DO Single Pick remains in first place for the season but things are heating up at 3rd place and beyond. Be sure to check out our full CFB Expert Grading and make sure you’re reading our weekly Consensus article which is typically posted around 9am CT on Saturday mornings.

On to the Week 8 grades, class is in session!
Consensus Recap – Week 8
The Consensus stayed consistent with last week. A 2.73 score positioned the Consensus in 14th out of the 21 experts that submitted selections.
Week 8 (Score: 2.73 / Rank 14th out of 21) – The Consensus took a step back in Week 8. Eight of the 33 plays scored an “A” or better including five “A+” plays.
Head of the Class – Week 8
Each week I will highlight a few of the top experts for the week. Here are the experts that deserve a “gold star” for Week 8 based on their cumulative grades for all players they touted this week. Overall, the scores were a bit lower than the previous week.
#1) DailyFantasyInsider (Score: 7.50) scored an “A+” with Auburn wideout Seth Williams and an “A” grade with Travis Etienne.
#2) RG Lineup HQ Top 3 (Score: 5.56) scored a top-2 finish with 6 of their 9 plays scoring an “A” or better grade.

Head of the Class – Week 8 (By Position)
Sometimes there is just that one class that you excel in. In this section, I will highlight who the top experts were at each position for Week 8.
QB – Rotowire Optimizer (10.00) played Heisman front-runners Joe Burrow and Jalen Hurts for two “A+” scores.
RB – Rotoworld (10.00) used Iowa State back Breece Hall to score an “A+” and top the RB spot.
WR – DailyFantasyInsider (10.00) topped the experts at WR with their Seth Williams play.
Study Time – Week 8
If we are going to give a gold star to the top experts of the week, we also need to determine which experts might need to put in some extra study time to pull up those grades. Here are the Week 8 experts that didn’t make the grade this week.
- Rotowire (Score: 1.75) scored a failing grade on half of their 12 selections in Week 8.
- Daily Overlay Power Five (Score: 0.80) struggled mightily in Week 8. Four of Stephen’s five plays scored “D” or worse.
Extra Credit – Week 8
In this section, I will look to give some extra credit to experts that received an A+ grade for a player where they were the lone expert to recommend. Week 8 extra credit goes to the following:
A+ – Anthony Schwartz (EliteFantasy)
