NBA – Value Index – Wednesday, Oct. 23
Opening Night DFS Picks for the 2019-20 NBA Opener
The NBA is back and it has a whole new feel to it!
Zion mania begins despite him being on the shelf, LeBron and AD in LA, Paul George and Kawhi in LAC, Russell Westbrook in Houston, D’Angelo Russell in Golden State, Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram in New Orleans, Kyrie and Kevin Durant in Brooklyn, and….well, there’s been a lot of changes in one of the best NBA offseasons to date.
For the Value Index this year, we are going to focus on the best value plays at each position…PG, SG, SF, PF and C.
We will run this series on slates of 5 or more games that occur during the week. All pricing will be centered around DraftKings.
Good luck and enjoy!
POINT GUARD
Kyrie Irving – Brooklyn Nets – $8,900
Analysis: There are a few guys that I am going to be looking at to play the narrative angle tonight. While narratives can be just a bunch of baloney, basketball is one of the sports where a narrative can certainly play in effect because of the unique nature of the individual being featured in a team sport. This narrative is the home debut of Kyrie Irving in Brooklyn. Removed from Boston, Kyrie rolls out for a new team tonight as they host Minnesota. Kevin Durant isn’t around yet and Caris LeVert is poised for a breakout, but tonight, Irving gets to run amok in his first game as a Net. He should be extra motivated, extra fired up and gets to debut at home.
