NFL – Week 11 Showdown (Thursday) – PIT v CLE
NFL DFS Showdown – Week 11 (Thursday) – PIT v CLE
Week 11 of the NFL season kicks off with a Thursday night tilt between two AFC North rivals with the Steelers visiting the Browns. There doesn’t seem to be much value to consider in this matchup which could force us into a unique build for our Cash game lineup. I’m also going to for a one-sided onslaught for my GPP lineup, find out which way I’m going.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cleveland Browns
Team | QB | RB | Right | Slot | Left | TE | D | K | Vegas |
Pittsburgh Steelers | 47 | 52 | 35 | 52 | 47 | 42 | 70 | 64 | 41 |
Cleveland Browns | 44 | 46 | 44 | 47 | 40 | 63 | 39 | 40 | -3 |
King
- Steelers D/ST – The Hot Sheet shows that the Steelers D/ST is in the best spot of any position in this matchup. They have at least 11 DK points in seven straight games and with the lower salary in the King slot you can load up on volume players to round out your Cash Core.
Cash Core
- James Conner – I considered Conner for the King slot, but I am uncertain that he will get a full complement of touches in his first game back from injury. I do still want to roster him in cash games against a Browns run defense that ranks 22nd DVOA and has allowed 4.86 YPC (28th) to RBs this season.
- Nick Chubb – Chubb is a lock for 20 carries on Thursday, at least that is the number he has hit in each of his last four games, exactly. He may lose a few targets to Kareem Hunt which keeps him out of King consideration, but I’ll take the 20 touches with plenty of touchdown potential.
- JuJu Smith-Schuster – No QBs in my Cash Core for Thursday night but I will take a couple of volume receivers from each side including Smith-Schuster who has the best individual matchup for any WR in this game while working out of the slot against the Browns secondary.
GPP
The Browns have been a huge disappointment this season and while a breakout performance against the Steelers tough defense seems unlikely, that is also what I assume most people will think so I’m going to swerve hard and go with a Browns onslaught for my GPP lineup. Plugin Odell Beckham as the “King” and then load up on the Browns passing game with Baker Mayfield and Jarvis Landry. Only take one Steelers player and then fill out your lineup with the Browns D/ST and whatever Browns player still fits your build.
Best Bet
I’m going to pass on this one. The numbers tell me one thing (Steelers) and my gut tells me another (Browns).
