NFL – Week 15 Showdown (Thursday) – LAC v LV
NFL DFS Showdown – Week 15 (Thursday) – LAC v LV
We have a potential AFC West shootout lined up for the Thursday Night showdown this week between the Chargers and Raiders. Lineup construction seems pretty straightforward for Cash games with both teams featuring a couple of primary ballhogs on offense. Just be sure to keep an eye on the injury reports leading up to kickoff as there is a “Q” next to a few of them.

Los Angeles Chargers @ Las Vegas Raiders
Team | QB | RB | Left | Slot | Right | TE | D | K | Vegas |
Los Angeles Chargers | 59 | 56 | 60 | 69 | 53 | 49 | 50 | 56 | 53 |
Las Vegas Raiders | 61 | 55 | 37 | 52 | 45 | 65 | 37 | 63 | -3.5 |
Captain
- Austin Ekeler – Since returning from injury, Ekeler has seen 34 targets over three games. That kind of volume in the passing game in addition to his rushing give him the high floor that we want in a Captain in Cash. He has scored at 23+ DK points in two of those three games and that is without a score which he very well should get this week against a Raiders run defense that has allowed 1.4 rushing TDs per game to RBs over the last five weeks.
Cash Core
- Keenan Allen – Even with Ekeler back in the mix, Allen continues to see double-digit targets every week and has been a big red zone option as he has found the end zone in six of his last seven games. The weakest link in the Raiders secondary according to PFF is covering slot receivers where they rank 29th. Allen has nine grabs for 103 yards and a score agaisnt the Raiders in their earlier meeting.
- Josh Jacobs – Jacobs only played on 43% of snaps last week after missing a game due to injury and trolling fantasy players on social media. I have a gut feel that this will be a big game for Jacobs with increased snaps and carries including plenty of opportunities at the goal line. The Chargers have allowed 105 rushing yards (25th) and 0.6 TDs (14th) per game to RBs over the last five weeks on 4.63 YPC (22nd).
- Darren Waller – I’m okay with either Waller or Derek Carr in this last spot, but my current Cash build has Waller to make the salary work. If Jacobs isn’t finding the end zone multiple times, then Waller should get one as the Chargers rank 26th defending TEs according to PFF and have allowed 0.7 TDs (27th) per game to the postion. He found paydirt in the previous meeting with the Chargers.
GPP
My GPP lineup is going to look a lot like my Cash game lineup this week but will just be moving around some pieces. It will start with Jacobs in the Captain spot for the multi-score big game I think he can have. I’ll then focus on the Chargers passing attack with Justin Herbert to go along with Ekeler and Allen. There isnt’ a lot of salary left for the last two spots, but I do have my eye on a cheap Bryan Edwards should see an increase in snaps with Henry Ruggs out.
Best Bet
Raiders -3.5
