NFL – Week 7 Showdown (Monday) – NE v NYJ
NFL DFS Showdown – Week 7 (Monday) – NE v NYJ
One of the biggest things to watch for Monday night’s matchup between the Patriots and Jets is the injury status of the Patriots wide receivers leading up to kickoff. Depending on who is active there could be some potential value or lower-owned options who could surface. Time to get ready for some football on Monday night for a divisional matchup.

Team | QB | RB | Right | Slot | Left | TE | D | K |
New England Patriots | 49 | 56 | 61 | 48 | 62 | 47 | 83 | 62 |
New York Jets | 27 | 25 | 25 | 27 | 26 | 36 | 49 | 10 |
King
- James White – White has scored double-digit DK points in all five of his games this season, despite scoring just one touchdown so far. The Jets offer a favorable matchup for pass-catching backs allowing 6.2 receptions (25th) for 51 yards (25th) per game this season. I also think he gets in the end zone one way or another tonight which should push is DK points closer to 20 (30 with the 1.5x bump).
Cash Core
- Julian Edelman – Keep an eye on the injury status of all the Patriots WRs before locking in any of them, but it sounds like Edelman will play which will make him the go-to guy for Tom Brady, as usual. He has posted over 100 yards in back-to-back games and the Jets pass defense has allowed an average of 179 receiving yards (25th) to WRs this year. While I didn’t list Brady as a “core” play, he is highly likely to be one.
- Patriots D/ST – This spot came down to the Patriots D/ST and Sony Michel. Remarkably, the Patriots D/ST has been far more consistent with a higher floor and ceiling than Michel has demonstrated this season. The Jets offense is serviceable with Sam Darnold at QB, but he is still prone to sacks and turnovers for the opportunistic Patriots defense.
- Jamison Crowder – We need to roster one Jets player and without any deep value options that interest me, I’ll pay some salary to get Crowder who has been a target magnet for Darnold in his two starts with 26. The Jets should need to pass if they fall behind and Crowder working the underneath routes should be a frequent target for Darnold again this week.
GPP
For my GPP lineup, I’m going with the game theory that the Jets actually come out and give the Patriots a good game and maybe even work with a lead most of the night. In this scenario, we would see a heavy dose of Le’Veon Bell in both the running and passing game to move the chains and work the clock, so plug him in as a low-owned King option. Next, take a shot on the Darnold to Robby Anderson connection hitting on a long one or two to shoot your lineup up the standings in a hurry. Round out your lineup with Brady and a couple of “healthy” Patriots pass-catchers (which could include James White).
