NHL Sportsbook Consensus Grading Recap — Friday, November 6, 2026
Alex Becker of TheSpread swept Friday’s NHL slate at 2-0 for +1.77u, cashing both Wild -1.5 (-103) and Under 6.5 (-125) in Minnesota’s 4-1 win over San Jose — that evens his season with us at 10-10. Randy Chambers (Sports Chat Place) hit the biggest single price of the night, Sabres -1.5 at +134, for +1.34u, and Ben Burns (WagerTalk) took the Ducks at +108 and got paid when Anaheim came back to win 5-3 in Calgary (+1.08u; now 7-3, +3.06u with us).
Tokyo Brandon (WagerTalk) went 1-0 (+1.04u) on Over 6.5 in Buffalo, Randy Chambers’ Pick Dawgz card also had the Ducks at +102 (+1.02u), and David Racey (Sports Chat Place) was on Wild -1.5 at -102 (+0.98u). The iHeart Model put up the busiest winning day at 5-3 (+0.64u) and stays at 89-64-2 (+4.78u) on the season — one of the most-weighted voices in the consensus. We logged 39 picks from 21 experts and grade every one at the line it was posted.
The consensus card went 2-2 for -0.46u. STRONG 0-1 (-1.00u), LEAN 2-1 (+0.54u). Every play is graded at the line we posted.
The STRONG play, Flames ML (-132), lost 5-3. The LEAN Sabres ML (-178) won 5-2, the LEAN Wild -1.5 (-102) covered by three, and the LEAN Under 6.5 (-120) in Buffalo lost with seven goals.
What actually happened
Ducks 5, Flames 3. Calgary had it 3-1 after the first period on goals from Stromgren, Hanley and a Farabee power-play goal at 19:02. Anaheim pulled Lukas Dostal after one (three goals on 11 shots) and Ville Husso stopped all 10 shots he faced the rest of the way. The Ducks scored the last four: Luneau in the second, Leo Carlsson on a power play 55 seconds into the third to tie it, Cutter Gauthier with 1:34 left to extend his goal streak to five games, and Nikita Nesterenko into the empty net with 14 seconds left. Dustin Wolf made 24 saves for Calgary. The goalies the card expected both started, so nothing was voided — the 8-of-11 consensus on the Flames was beaten on the merits, including by the Anaheim power play the case expected Calgary to blunt.
Sabres 5, Blue Jackets 2. Buffalo started Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (24 saves) rather than Colten Ellis, who had been expected but not confirmed at publish. It was 1-1 late in the first before Josh Norris put Buffalo ahead, and the Sabres scored three times in the first 10:53 of the second — Rasmus Dahlin, Norris again, and Josh Doan off a deflection that survived a goaltender-interference challenge — to lead 5-1. Owen Power had three assists and Jet Greaves made 32 saves for Columbus. Zach Werenski’s power-play goal at 18:21 of the third was the seventh goal of the night and took the total over 6.5. Columbus lost Sean Monahan to a lower-body injury late in the second.
Wild 4, Sharks 1. Kirill Kaprizov opened the scoring on a 5-on-3 in the first, Macklin Celebrini tied it midway through the second, and Shabanov answered on the power play about two minutes later. Quinn Hughes and Zach Bogosian (his first of the season) scored in the third. Jesper Wallstedt made 23 saves on 24 shots; Yaroslav Askarov stopped 25 of 29. Kaprizov finished with a goal and three assists, and no empty-net goal was needed for the puck line.

Best call: Wild -1.5 (-102), LEAN — 4 of 7 experts. The card flagged a one-goal game and an empty net as the main risk; it never came to that. Minnesota scored twice on the power play, then Quinn Hughes and Zach Bogosian made it 4-1 in the third behind 23 saves from Jesper Wallstedt.
Worst beat: Flames ML (-132), STRONG — 8 of 11 experts. Calgary led 3-1 after 20 minutes and chased Lukas Dostal, but Ville Husso stopped all 10 shots he saw, Leo Carlsson tied it on a power play early in the third and Cutter Gauthier won it with 1:34 left.
