Only seven games tonight and a whole lot of “YUCK” when it comes to pitching. My guess is that no pitcher will have overwhelming ownership and if you pick the right guy you could be in for a big night. Freedom to choose cheap, risky pitchers means you can stock up on big bats and I love the look from both of my lineups tonight.
Here is a list of the “rules” we are following when constructing lineups:
- We will make two separate lineups for each site (FanDuel and DraftKings), one for Cash games and one for GPP tournaments.
- For Cash games, we will build the core of our lineup from the Consensus list using any player listed regardless of what tier they are in and will be allowed to choose 1 player that is not on the Consensus list that we consider to be a good play.
- For GPP games, we are allowed to choose up to add 2-3 players that are not on the Consensus list to help complete a hitter stack or we consider to be a good play.
- We can modify any lineup as we see fit for any late-breaking lineup news that opens up good options even if they are not on the Consensus list.

Cash Game Lineup
Cash Narrative – The Padres swing the sticks pretty well against lefties but they do have a rather high strikeout rate. That makes Garcia a risky/safe play, if that makes any sense. I love the look of the bats in this lineup and I’ll be submitting this one into a GPP tonight too. A ton of power potential and let’s hope Pujols keeps up his hot streak.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – Looks like I’ll be staying up late and rooting for runs in our lone late start. A stack of Rangers (Odor, Beltre, Desmond) and a stack of Angels (Pujols, Trout, Calhoun) will hopefully give me a big push late in the slate. A short stack of Brewers with Villar and Lucroy finish off the lineup. Pineda comes with some risk but also big strikeout upside.

Cash Narrative – I feel a little all over the place tonight, but that’s to be expected with all the gobs of trash that are taking the hill tonight. Off-the-board here I am going with Ozuna because he’s been successful against Hellickson and he’s super cheap on DK. Hardy is a BvP play along with Ozuna and also takes Machado’s scratch rule. Yes, I am pairing him against Pineda, but it’s just kind of how things were vomited into this lineup.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – I can’t bring myself to play Chen tonight even though the Phillies aren’t great, but I can’t bring myself to play many Phillies either, though Tommy Joseph is their top bat against lefty pitching. Daniel Murphy is a must-play for me against Thud Norris while I really like the Pirates tonight and could see them going underowned. Bogaerts is a default pick at SS to spend the dough and Kemp and Polanco are off-the-board plays.

Cash Narrative – Out of all of my lineups tonight, this one is my favorite. I am not stoked about playing Gio, and I never am, but something about this lineup I just really like. Bourjos is leading off tonight and so I am throwing him in as an off-the-board play against Chen.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – I guess I like this lineup too, though no Angels, so that could be a problem. However, Martin Perez isn’t a bad pitcher and keeps the ball down, so I don’t think the Angels put up as many points as people might expect in that ballpark. Ellsbury is off-the-board here, but that’s it.
