It’s another bonus edition of the NBA Consensus. As we toy with the idea of adding Thursdays to our normal Consensus lineup, you are the lucky ones. This is back-to-back weeks of a free Thursday NBA Consensus. For those new to DO, we typically do the Consensus on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Mondays and Tuesdays are free but the latter two are only available to our Premium Members. Please don’t forget to sign-up for our premium membership so you are not missing out on anything.
There are only five games on the NBA schedule tonight. With injuries and several DNP-Rest decisions tonight, we are absolutely stacked at the top tonight with 17 players finding their way into the Highly Touted category. For the point chasers, three of the games have Vegas totals of 219+. If you’re looking for a game to stay away from, the Mavs/Heat game comes in at a total of 198.5. Best of luck!
The numbers in the parenthesis are the number of experts that picked that player to give you more context as to the gaps between players and the tiers. Also listed projected ownership percentages for Cash and GPP leagues to help determine which players will be the chalk and which players could be a good, low-owned contrarian play.
Here are the Industry Consensus picks for tonight.
Highly Touted
- Raymond Felton (11x) – 39% / 28% – With CP3 out, Felton will now take the reigns and he’s been good when given the chance so far this year. He’s scored 15 points in back-to-back games.
- Austin Rivers (10x) – 34% / 25% – Similar to Felton, Rivers’ minutes are about to go up. Also similar to Felton, he’s been solid when given opportunities. Averaging 15.5ppg and 4apg in the last two.
- Hassan Whiteside (10x) – 34% / 25% – He’s been in beast mode with three double-doubles in the last four. During that stretch, he’s averaged 18.5ppg and 14.3rpg.
- Eric Bledsoe (9x) – 25% / 21% – Missed out on a triple-double by one rebound and one assist his last game. Scored 31 points and dropped 8 dimes in this season’s previous matchup against the Cavs.

- LeBron James (9x) – 25% / 21% – Putting up 26.1ppg, 7.3rpg and 6.9apg in the last ten. With Love potentially out tonight, LBJ may shoulder more scoring load.

- Mindaugas Kuzminskas (9x) – 25% / 21% – The Knicks frontcourt is a bit of a ragtag bunch right now. In the last two games, he’s averaging 15.5ppg and 5.5rpg.
- Jamal Crawford (8x) – 21% / 19% – He’s in a massive slump but shooters keep shooting until they break out.
