As DFS players, we’re thrown a bit of a curveball this week. The WGC Bridgestone Invitational features a field of only 77 players, and there is no cut. No Friday cut sweats. Two-thirds of the field will receive an order of finish bonus on DK. Swing for the fences, guys.
The Bridgestone is played at Firestone Country Club in Akron, OH. The course is a par 70 and will play at 7,400 yards (relatively long). If you’re looking to get a feel for the course, here’s a walk-through. The list of previous champions reads as a who’s who of golf’s superstars.
Rory McIlroy (2014)
Tiger Woods (2013)
Keegan Bradley (2012)
Adam Scott (2011)
Hunter Mahan (2010)
Scroll through those old leader boards if you get a chance, and you’ll get a feel for what type of golfer tends to succeed here (hint: guys who are really good at golf, simple huh?).
