Welcome to the weekly NFL experts optimal lineup analysis! As the Daily Fantasy Sports industry continues to grow, there has been an explosion of optimal lineups from numerous websites. Have you ever wondered how these lineups have done without risking your hard earned cash? Well before you spend money on these “optimal” lineups read these weekly reviews. Every week, we will review how these expert lineups did in both DraftKings & FanDuel and will put each lineup in a GPP and cash game. The goal of these reviews is to give you a high level overview of the performance of these lineups and to help you distinguish which sites are trustworthy. To that end, onto the grading!
GPP Grading:
A+ = Top 10 Tournament Finish, A = Top 10-15% Finish, B = Top 15-20% Finish, C = Minimum Cash Finish (2x your Buy-in), D = Almost Cash, F = Fail
Cash Game Grading:
Cash = Doubling Your Money, No Cash = Losing Your Money
Below and above are the highlights for the week:
1. For Week 7 there were a total of nine expert optimal lineups graded.
2. The DraftKings NFL Week 7 GPP cash line for the week was 179.42 FPs vs a DrafKings cash game line of 172.64 FPs.
3. The FanDuel NFL Week 7 GPP cash line for the week was a normal 147.68 FPs vs a FanDuel cash game line of 140.06 FPs.
4. Our YTD GPP ROI is -60.15% vs last week’s ROI of -63.27%.
5. Our YTD Cash Game ROI is -24.14% vs last week’s ROI of -30.61%.
6. Our overall ROI increased this week to an ROI of -41.20% vs last week’s ROI of -46.08%.
7. dailyfantasycafe.com went zero this week. Their Draftkings lineup scored 143.28 FPs and their FanDuel lineup scored 121.48 FPs. Both lineups did not have T. Gurley, who was the obvious pick this week.
8. dailyfantasynerd.com DraftKings lineup did well, but their FanDuel lineup didn’t. Their DraftKings lineup scored 190.84 FPs and their FanDuel lineup scored 127.02 FPs. The DraftKings lineup cashed in both GPP and cash games.
9. fantasyalarm.com cashed in one lineup. Their DraftKings lineup scored 171.14 FPs and their FanDuel lineup scored 148.04 FPs. Just when we thought they weren’t ever going to cash in a GPP, they turned things around this week!
10. fantasycruncher.com went zero in GPPs this week, however they cash in cash games. Their DraftKings lineup scored 172.64 FPs and their FanDuel lineup scored 143.30 FPs. Both lineups had Saint Louis Defense, which was important in cash games.
11. fantasypros.com did decent this week. Their DraftKings lineup scored 190.60 FPs and their FanDuel lineup scored 147.30 FPs. So far they’re the top optimizer to date and they’ve proven that week after week.
12. fantasysportsdaily.com didn’t cash in GPPs, but was again able to squeak out a win in FanDuel cash games. Their DraftKings lineup scored 174.32 FPs and their FanDuel scored 142.32 FPs.
13. rosternerds.com went one for two this week. Their DraftKings lineup scored 163.30 FPs and their FanDuel lineup scored 168.88 FPs. Their FanDuel lineup was money in cash games.
14. rotogrinders.com did not cash in a GPP, but was able cash in DraftKings cash games. Their DraftKings lineup scored 178.20 FPs and their FanDuel lineup scored 120.88 FPs.
15. rotowire.com went one for two this week. Their DraftKings lineup scored 180.84 FPs and their FanDuel lineup scored 137.04 FPs. Their lineup was money in DraftKings cash games.
16. Better week for lineup optimizers. Last week was a rough week, but this week the lineup optimizers rebounded! Onto the rest of the season.
