MLB DFS Picks – June 2nd

Thursday’s “On the Hill” article will focus on the evening DFS slate of action. With a game at Coors Field, a night after 25 runs were scored, there is no question where a lot of ownership on the hitting side will be, but there are a few spots to be different with our bats. We can also save some bucks on the mound to fit in many of the hitters we want.

Pitchers

Ace

Sean Manaea (FD-$10,200 / DK-$9,700)
Manaea has the best mix of safety and upside on the hill tonight with a matchup against the Brewers. The Brewers have struggled against lefties this season with a .291 wOBA (22nd) and 84 wRC+ (27th) while striking out at a 24.0% clip (7th highest).

Value

Matthew Liberatore (FD-$8,000 / DK-$7,300)
Liberatore is coming off a strong start against the Brewers throwing five shutout innings with six strikeouts. He draws a good matchup on Thursday against the Cubs who have the 8th highest strikeout rate (23.7%) against lefties this season and are middle of the road in wOBA and wRC+ versus southpaws.

Darkhorse

Adrian Houser (FD-$9,100 / DK-$8,500)
With Manaea as the likely chalk at pitcher, not much attention will go towards Houser despite a favorable matchup against the Padres. The Padres have just a .286 wOBA (27th) and 86 wRC+ (24th) against righties with a 22.5% strikeout rate (14th highest).
