NFL – Week 5 Showdown (Monday) – CLE v SF
NFL DFS Showdown – Week 5 (Monday) – CLE v SF
I’m on a roll with the Showdown Cash game lineups with three straight winning sessions which has brought my season totals into the green. I’ll look to keep it going on Monday night when the Browns visit the 49ers. This looks like a tricky game to build a strong cash game lineup since projecting touches in the 49ers backfield is a mystery. This has pushed me to get creative with the King slot in Cash for this matchup.

King
- Robbie Gould – I’m sure that using a kicker in the King spot isn’t the optimal play most week. However, I wanted to fit in as may high-floor players as possible in this matchup and using Gould in the King slot allows me to do that as you can see below in my Cash Core.
Cash Core
- Nick Chubb – Chubb is coming off a big game and will get a large majority of the touches for the Browns backfield. The matchup isn’t ideal, but I’d much rather get the primary back for the Browns than try to figure out the potentially 4-headed mess in the 49ers backfield.
- Baker Mayfield / Jimmy Garoppolo – Give me both QBs which will lock up both passing games. Once again, I don’t necessarily expect huge numbers from either guy, but they give you a safe and solid floor which is more than I can say for most players in this game.
- Odell Beckham Jr. – Beckham in a primetime game is always capable of a monster, must-have performance. He has the highest combination of floor and upside of any receiver for either team.
GPP
The main name that I didn’t mention above but has a high ceiling in this game is George Kittle. The Browns secondary is banged up right now and Kittle, who is still looking for his first TD of the season, should benefit. Plug Kittle into the King slot then load up on both passing games with both QBs, Beckham (again), and then a couple of cheap receiving options.
