NFL DFS Showdown – Week 6 (Thursday) – WSH v CHI
Thursday’s NFL matchup between the Commanders and Bears might not be the most exciting but it should at least be a close one. For the DFS one-game slate, we want to jam in as much volume as possible into our Cash lineup and make a few pivots in GPPs.

Captain
- Curtis Samuel – Samuel is the most consistent option on the Commanders with at least seven targets in each game and six or more catches in four of five weeks. He is also the cheapest option I’d consider for the Captain slot in Cash games.
Cash Core
- David Montgomery – Montgomery returned to the lineup after missing a game and a half and played on 72% of the offensive snaps while getting 16 touches last week. He will likely get the most touches of any player on either side on Thursday night.
- Justin Fields – Fields has struggled to produce fantasy points this season but he does have a solid rushing floor and upside. He could also make strides in the passing game in this matchup against the Commanders that rank 29th DVOA against the pass this season.
- Darnell Mooney – Playing a Bears receiver in Cash is a little risky, but Mooney has seen at least five targets in each of the last three games and draws a favorable matchup against a Commanders secondary that has allowed 188 yards (28th) and 1.4 TDs (28th) per game to WRs this season.
GPP
The aforementioned, Mooney, is my Captain pick for GPPs. Pair him with Fields in the flex. Then on the Commanders’ side, grab Carson Wentz and two pass-catching options including JD McKissic. Round it out with a pivot off Montgomery and use Khalil Herbert who could vulture some touches or a score on a short week.
