It was another down week for the NFL handicappers overall which lead to a sub-par week for the Consensus Best Bets with a 5-6 mark overall. There were a few cappers who had a good week including Matthew Lowimore (CappersPicks), Tom Fornelli and the Computer (Sportsline), and David Bearman (ESPN).
There were a bunch of high-scoring affairs in Week 3 which saw NumberFire provide the top DFS picks for the Sunday slate. They were followed by GoingFor2 and DailyFantasyCafe for the week. Our DailyOverlay – Cash Consensus also had a strong week with a 5th place showing.
The regular season is over and we're off to the playoffs. We'll continue posting a Consensus article for days with at least four games but we will not grade the playoff days.

It looks like the NFL Week 3 main DFS slate is going to be very chalky. Go ahead and eat the chalk in Cash games but be sure to differentiate yourself in GPP lineups with some next tier options provided by the DFS analysts this week.
The Friday MLB main slate features 10 games on the diamond. This will be the last Weighted Consensus article of the regular season but look for some to continue into the postseason next week.

If Week 2 was “injury week”, then I think Week 3 will be “I didn’t see that coming” week. The first two weeks have been a little bit too predictable with games that were projected to be high scoring shooting out and chalky DFS plays performing well, for the most part. Week 3 could be the week where the NFL reminds us that we don’t know everything.
