On to the Week 3 grades, class is in session!
Consensus Recap – Week 3
The Consensus stayed consistent with last week. A 2.87 score positioned the Consensus in 12th out of the 23 experts that submitted selections.
Week 3 (Score: 2.87 / Rank 12th out of 23) – A little better finish in the standings this week for the Consensus though the score was only .01 better. Eight of the 30 plays scored “A” or better including five “A+” grades.
Head of the Class – Week 3
Each week I will highlight a few of the top experts for the week. Here are the experts that deserve a “gold star” for Week 3 based on their cumulative grades for all players they touted this week. Overall, the scores were a bit lower than the previous week.
#1) Sports Gambling Podcast (Score: 6.00) scored one “A+” and one “C” with their two plays to claim the top spot.
#2A) NumberFire (Score: 5.00) hauled home an “A+” along with “B” and “C” grades in Week 3.
#2B) Daily Overlay – Single Pick (Score: 5.00) went value play with Elijah Collins for an “A” grade.
#2C) DailyFantasyInsider (Score: 5.00) also utilized Elijah Collins to round out the 2nd place tie.
Head of the Class – Week 3 (By Position)
Sometimes there is just that one class that you excel in. In this section, I will highlight who the top experts were at each position for Week 3.
QB – Daily Overlay Power Five (10.00) played Tua for an “A+” grade and the top spot at the QB position.
RB – Awesemo, DFSKarma, NumberFire (10.00) all had perfect scores at RB. Awesemo made two plays while the others only made one selection.
WR – NumberFire (3.00) topped a pretty crappy week for the experts at the position. One “B” grade was good enough for 1st place.
Study Time – Week 3
If we are going to give a gold star to the top experts of the week, we also need to determine which experts might need to put in some extra study time to pull up those grades. Here are the Week 3 experts that didn’t make the grade this week.
- Rotoworld (Score: 1.00) picked up a failing grade with three of their five plays.
- HelloRookie (Score: 0.63) really struggled in Week 3. Seven of their eight plays scored “D” or worse including five failing grades.
Extra Credit – Week 3
In this section, I will look to give some extra credit to experts that received an A+ grade for a player where they were the lone expert to recommend. Week 3 extra credit goes to the following:
A+ – Dillon Gabriel (DailyRoto)
A+ – Michael Pittman Jr. (DailyRoto)
A+ – Sam James (EliteFantasy)
