That was a fun week of CFB last Saturday. The Red River game was a blowout, then all of a sudden it wasn’t, then Texas crammed the ball down OU’s throat for a game winning drive…what a fun back and forth game to watch. Still plenty up in the air as we approach the halfway point of the season. You’ll notice we had a lot of moving and shaking in our season-long leaderboard. Here’s your Week 6 recap!

On to the Week 6 grades, class is in session!
Consensus Recap – Week 6
The Consensus settled into the middle of the pack for Week 6 of CFB. A 2.90 score was good for 11th out of the 21 experts that submitted selections.
Overall (Score: 2.90 / Rank 11th out of 21) – Eleven of the 40 plays scored an “A” or better including seven “A+” scores. The “A+” scores came from Kyler Murray, Sam Ehlinger, Travis Etienne, Marquise Brown, Felton Davis, Nick Westbrook and Cameron Green.
Head of the Class – Week 6
Each week I will highlight a few of the top experts for the week. Here are the experts that deserve a “gold star” for Week 6 based on their cumulative grades for all players they touted this week. The top-3 from this week scored significantly higher, as a whole, than those from Week 5.
#1) DailyFantasySportsRankings (Score: 7.50) scored four “A+” grades with their six plays. Those came from Murray, Etienne, Brown and Davis.
#2) DK CFB Marketplace Projections (Score: 6.22) scored “A” or better with six of their nine selections including four “A+” grades. Those perfect scores were from Murray, Brown, Etienne and Green.
#3) TheDailyAudible (Score: 5.63) scored “A” or better with five of eight plays. They received “A+” scores from Etienne, Felton Davis and Flynn Nagel. They were the lone expert site to recommend Flynn Nagel and his “A+” score.
Head of the Class – Week 6 (By Position)
Sometimes there is just that one class that you excel in. In this section, I will highlight who the top experts were at each position for Week 6.
QB – Rotoballer (7.50) utilized both state of Oklahoma quarterbacks to pull in the top spot. An “A+” from Kyler and an “A” from Taylor Cornelius put them atop the experts.
RB – DailyFantasySportsRankings, DK CFB Marketplace, TheDailyAudible (6.00) all used Travis Etienne and his “A+” score to tie atop the leaders. Each site also played another RB who scored a “C” grade.
WR – DailyFantasySportsRankings, Rotoballer (10.00) each had perfect scores at the wideout spot. Rotoballer played Hollywood Brown while DFSR played Hollywood and Felton Davis.
Study Time – Week 6
If we are going to give a gold star to the top experts of the week, we also need to determine which experts might need to put in some extra study time to pull up those grades. Here are the Week 6 experts that didn’t make the grade this week.
- AthlonSports (Score: 1.43) scored a “D” or worse grade with eight of their 14 plays in Week 6.
- Sportsline (Score: 0.67) really struggled in Week 6 as they picked up a “C” and two failing grades with their three plays.
Extra Credit – Week 6
In this section, I will look to give some extra credit to experts that received an A+ grade for a player where they were the lone expert to recommend. Week 6 extra credit goes to the following:
A+ – J-Shun Harris II (DailyOverlay Power Five)
A+ – Parris Campbell (DFS Army)
A+ – Lil’Jordan Humphrey (RG Consensus)
A+ – Flynn Nagel (TheDailyAudible)
