This is the best time to be a sports fan, and it’s one of my favorite weeks of the year.
I don’t have a fancy nickname for it or anything, but it’s March Madness season, then comes MLB Opening Day and the Masters.
Television watching couldn’t be better starting Thursday, oh, and of course the NBA season winds down as well, and thus the run to the ‘Ship.
While Daylight Saving Time kicks me in the rear, I know the aforementioned sporting events are right around the corner.
We’ve had a good run since the All-Star Break, and if you are curious as to how we have done with our rule changes or need a refresher on our rules, you can check out Brad’s Expert Grading Article.
Tonight’s slate features 9 games and a ton of “questionable” tags on some of the Expert Consensus’ top plays.
If you aren’t aware, Gordon Hayward has been ruled out vs. Cleveland while Derrick Rose and Lance Stephenson sound like they are iffy to play tonight. Also, as Brad mentioned in the Consensus article, only one game is projected to score less than 203 points, so it could be a huge night for fantasy points in the association. I personally love the Phoenix/Minnesota game to produce some of tonight’s top fantasy studs, but maybe that’s just me.

Cash Game Narrative: This will completely change should Lance Stephenson be ruled out. I will likely swap with Tony Allen and pay up for a PF instead of Taj Gibson. I think Taj and Portis fulfill Gasol’s production at a cheaper price tag. I am hoping Stephenson plays though as I don’t like to change lineups once they are set.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative: Tyson Chandler is lone wolfing it tonight as my off-the-board play. He’s a cheap center who has seen a spike in production of late and takes on Minnesota and Karl Anthony-Towns. I am hopeful Chandler plays a full allotment of minutes if Towns stays on the floor. Also of note, if Derrick Rose does play, then I will change E’Twaun Moore (also could change based on Lance Stephenson news). It’s erratic but with a time crunch this is what I’ve put together so far. Injury news right before tip-off could change things a lot.

Cash Game Narrative: With Hayward out tonight, I expect Rodney Hood’s usage to go up so I am using him as an off the board injury substitute tonight.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative: With so many high-priced studs tonight I wanted to get as many as I can, so I decided to go Stars and Scrubs paying up for Durant, Davis and Lillard. My off the board plays are Valanciunas who faces a small Bulls frontcourt with Gasol out and Frye who is cheap and has played well his last two games. Also went with both Grizzlies PG’s as cheap punt play.
