MLB – On the Hill – Tuesday (April 30)

There is a full 15-game MLB slate on tap for Tuesday night. A big slate usually means plenty of options on both the pitching and hitting side, but tonight’s slate seems to be lacking the quality pitching options, especially as you slide down the salary scale. So, it could be a night to pay up for pitching and then get some value hitters and stacks to fill out your lineups.

Nascar – Expert Recap and Grading – Geico 500

It was a tough week at Talladega this weekend in the Geico 500 for the DFS experts. Scores were down across the board but RotoGrinders Pitstop was able to avoid the wrecks and take down the top spot for the week. They were followed by RotoGrinders Lineup Builder and AthlonSports. The Overall Standings remain the […]

MLB – On the Hill – Monday (April 29)

The MLB starts off the week with a solid nine-game slate on the docket. There are a couple of ace-caliber pitchers on the hill, but I’m not all-in on paying up for pitching on this slate. There are a nice group of value arms that pique my interest who I think can match the ace’s production while allowing you to get in some higher priced stacks of sticks.

MLB – On the Hill – Friday (April 26)

As a fantasy sports guy, the first round of the NFL draft was pretty boring with only 3 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, and 2 TEs going off the board. Tonight should be more interesting from a skill position perspective. Speaking of interesting take a look at the 15-game Friday night MLB slate. There are a plethora of high-quality pitching options and it is also the much-anticipated debut of Vladimir Guerrero Jr. With all of the pitching options, I included a couple “bonus” picks that are especially enticing on FanDuel due to their salary savings on that site compared to DraftKings. What a great night for sports!

MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – April 25th

Thursday night features a small five-game MLB DFS slate. Six of the 10 teams on the slate show up on the stack list but there is one club that is representing almost their entire lineup on the consensus lists according to the experts we poll.

MLB – On the Hill – Thursday (April 25)

There is a small five-game MLB slate on Thursday night. However, the slate as plenty of marquee pitching options to choose from including Gerrit Cole, Trevor Bauer, Aaron Nola, and Masahiro Tanaka. It would be great to roster a couple from that group on two-pitchers sites in cash games but in GPPs there are some higher priced bats that we’ll want to roster so I’ll also give you a couple of cheaper pitching options for the Thursday night slate.

MLB – On the Hill – Wednesday (April 24)

With Wednesday’s split slate, my On the Hill article will focus on the seven-game night (main) slate. I’m shaking things up a little bit on Wednesday as I think it is a perfect night to construct your lineup using my “suited connectors” method where you roster a bunch of mini two-man stacks. This can be a great way to get some unique lineups in GPPs and they can also be used in cash games to provide a solid floor with some upside.

MLB – On the Hill – Tuesday (April 23)

Pitching is U-G-L-Y on Tuesday night’s 13-game MLB slate. So, I’d recommend embracing the ugliness by saving salary on the mound while paying up for some of the top bats on the slate. Look to roster pitchers with upside even though their floors are by no means safe. It could even be a night where you just roster the hitters you want and take whatever pitcher is available at the price point you have left. All of that said, I did still scrap together a trio of pitching options.

MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – April 22nd

Monday night’s MLB slate got trimmed down to nine games with the early postponement of the Tigers/Red Sox game. It also took to potential pitching options out of the mix which leaves us with a slim group of arms to consider according to the DFS experts. On the hitting side, we have five stacking options that the analysts recommend.

MLB – On the Hill – Friday (April 19)

Friday night brings us a huge 14-game MLB slate. The slate has a little bit of everything from a game at Coors Field to aces on the mound to weather concerns to watch in a variety of stadiums. As such, I’m going to expand my pitching recommendations tonight but giving a “bonus” Ace, Value, and Darkhorse options since it seems likely someone’s game will get postponed. However, just three stacks tonight as usual since I happened to like some hitting options in games that don’t have weather concerns. Let’s start off the weekend right!
