MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – April 18th (Main)

There is a small five-game slate on DraftKings Thursday night (six on FanDuel). The Weighted Consensus is geared toward the DraftKings slate where there are a bunch of teams to stack and not many pitchers that instill confidence in the DFS experts.

The Weighted Consensus for the MLB is where we publish an in-depth version of rankings every day that considers each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking.  To calculate the Weighted Rank Score, each expert’s DailyOverlay score for hitters and pitchers is weighted on a sliding scale from 1 to 5 with the top expert in the current standings being weighted with a five while the last place expert is weighted with a one. This method gives the higher rated experts picks more weight when compiling the overall player rankings for the day. We will include all players that generate a Rank Score of at least 8.0.

MLB – On the Hill – Thursday (April 18)

There are only five games on the DraftKings Thursday night slate (six on FanDuel). Pitching is non-existent on this slate but of course, that means there are tons of good stacking option. We also have a game at Coors Field on the docket but neither of those teams even made my list of stacks for tonight due to their high salaries. That said, be sure to get a couple of one-off plays in from that game such as Scott Kingery, Charlie Blackmon, and Tony Wolters. Also, the Yankees make for an excellent stack on FanDuel.

PGA – 2019 RBC Heritage – Weighted Consensus

Welcome to the Weighted Consensus for the PGA where we publish a more in-depth version of the PGA Consensus rankings that take into account each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking.

To calculate the Weighted Rank Score, each expert’s DailyOverlay score is weighted on a sliding scale from 1 to 5 with the top expert in the current standings being weighted with a five while the last place expert is weighted with a one. If you have ever wondered how to differentiate between two players who were both selected by the same number of experts, then this is the list you need. We will include all players that are selected by at least two experts.

MLB – On the Hill – Wednesday (April 17)

FanDuel and DraftKings will once again have a different set of games on their main slate Wednesday night. FanDuel will include the three games that start around 6:30 pm EST, while DraftKings will go with the traditional 7:00 pm EST start time for a seven-game set of matchups. This article will focus in on the DraftKings slate, but I’ll try to give a little FanDuel advice along the way. The Wednesday night slate has a lot of pitcher-friendly umpires behind the plate, so scoring could be down a little bit despite a lack of high-end pitching options. So, I’m going a little bit chalkier with my stack selections tonight.

MLB – On the Hill – Tuesday (April 16)

Be sure to pay attention to the start time for the MLB main slate on FanDuel Tuesday night as they are including the two earlier games beginning at 6:35 pm EST. My lineup advice below will focus on the DraftKings slate of 13 games that starts at the usual 7:05 pm EST. The slate has one ace that I want to lock in for all of my cash game lineups, but there are a variety of interesting options down a price level including a Darkhorse pick that should get lost in the shuffle on this slate. On the hitting side, there is stacks galore to consider, so in addition to the ones I recommend, also consider the Rangers, Royals, and Mets.

MLB – On the Hill – Monday (April 15)

Pitching will be an interesting puzzle to solve on Monday night’s nine-game MLB slate. There are a variety of ace pitching options to choose from and there is some intrigue from the mid-priced options albeit with considerable risk. There are also plenty of reasonably priced bats to roster, so in Cash games on two-pitcher sites, I’m looking to spend up at both slots. On the hitting side, I’m not liking the teams with the biggest Vegas implied run totals so I’m dipping down a little deeper for even my top stacks of the night.

MLB – On the Hill – Friday (April 12)

We have a big 12-game Friday night slate the diamond. The pitching prospects on the hill Friday night seem a little bit iffy, so you may have to pay up to get one or two that you can trust in Cash games. Meanwhile, there are plenty of stacking options. A few that interest me that didn’t make my list for tonight include the A’s, Mets, and Dodgers. Let’s start off the weekend with a bang!
