NHL – Industry Expert Consensus – February 14th

Welcome to the Valentine’s Day edition of the NHL Weighted Consensus Rankings! Before you take your sweetheart out or buy those last-minute flowers and chocolates, be sure to get your NHL DFS lineups in for Thursday’s big 11-game slate on the ice.

The Weighted Consensus for the NHL uses each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking. To calculate the Weighted Rank Score, each expert’s DailyOverlay score for players is weighted on a sliding scale from 1 to 5 with the top expert in the current standings being weighted with a five while the last place expert is weighted with a one. This method gives the higher rated experts picks more weight when compiling the overall player rankings for the day. We will include all players that received a Rank Score over 5.0.

NBA – Hot Sheet – February 13

Wednesday night is the last full NBA slate before the All-Star break with 11 games on the docket. I’m taking a strong look at going with an extremely balanced lineup approach on Wednesday night. This could change if some deep value opens up but at the moment I am comfortable with forgoing the high-priced studs on the slate as there doesn’t appear to be any “must-have” value to roster either. This will be my last NBA article before the break (likely skipping Thursday’s three-gamer). Enjoy the break, and I’ll see you on the other side.

The grid below is a snapshot of today’s slate that shows the overall rating for each position for each team. The numbers highlighted in red are in the top 25% of their position for the slate and indicate good plays. Meanwhile, the numbers highlighted in blue are the positions that are in the bottom 25% of their respective position for the slate and are positions to avoid.

NBA – Hot Sheet – February 12

Tuesday serves up a small five-game slate of NBA action. I’ll be honest I don’t really love this slate but there are two games that will get almost all of my attention even though four games have a Vegas total over 225 points and all of the lines are relatively close (single digits).

The numbers highlighted in red are in the top 25% of their position for the slate and indicate good plays. Meanwhile, the numbers highlighted in blue are the positions that are in the bottom 25% of their respective position for the slate and are positions to avoid.

NBA – Hot Sheet – February 11

We have a nine-game slate of NBA action to dissect for Monday night. There are four games with a double-digit favorite so be wary of minutes for the stars on the Bucks, Rockets, Nuggets, and Raptors on Monday night. Instead look to the games that should stay competitive with high Vegas totals such as the Blazers/Thunder and Clippers/Timberwolves. There are also a couple Eastern Conference clashes between weaker teams that could provide some strong DFS options on this slate. Sign up and get my Droppin’ Dimes DFS plays of the night.

NBA – Hot Sheet – February 8

Now that the trade deadline has passed, it is time for all of the trade fallout with new rotations and changes in playing time. I will make the assumption that none of the newly acquired players will suit on Friday’s eight-game slate until I hear otherwise. It should make for another wild, high-scoring night of DFS action.

The numbers highlighted in red are in the top 25% of their position for the slate and indicate good plays. NBA – Hot Sheet – February 7

It’s the NBA Trade Deadline Day! We saw a few trades yesterday and should have plenty more come through on Thursday before the deadline at 3 PM (EST). I hesitate to even write this article before the deadline as it could get blown up. However, I decided to fill it with players that I think are fairly “safe” to have limited negative impact by any deals. I’m also banking on some cheap value options getting opened up on the six-game slate to fit in many of the higher priced options that made my list.
