NBA – Hot Sheet – February 6

There is not a DFS sport that can be as frustrating as the NBA sometimes. With late or too late breaking news, a night can become a losing event even before it begins. That becomes even more prevalent as the season winds down AND as the trade deadline approaches which is this Thursday. We have already seen a couple of deals and will likely see more today and tomorrow so be nearby your computer or phone, so you can pivot quickly when a player is all of the sudden ruled out. If you can’t be available to make changes then you probably should play, especially these last couple of days before the trade deadline. Wednesday gives us a seven-game slate and hopefully, trades and late injury news won’t derail my DFS recommendations, at least too much.

The grid below is a snapshot of today’s slate that shows the overall rating for each position for each team. The numbers highlighted in red are in the top 25% of their position for the slate and indicate good plays. Meanwhile, the numbers highlighted in blue are the positions that are in the bottom 25% of their respective position for the slate and are positions to avoid.

NHL – Industry Expert Consensus – February 5th

There is a huge 12-games NHL slate on the ice Tuesday night. The Weighted Consensus for the NHL uses each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking. […]

NBA – Hot Sheet – February 5

Tuesday’s eight-game NBA slate could just be a game of how many Celtics players can you fit into your DFS lineup. With Kyrie Irving and Marcus Morris already ruled out in a matchup with the Cavaliers. Unless some other value opens up, look for the collection of Celtics to be quite popular on Tuesday night. The slate also has some pretty modest Vegas totals in comparison to most nights with only three games coming in with a total over 220 points and none over 230 points. My lineup construction is taking on a more balanced approach in my early builds.

NBA – Hot Sheet – February 4

Well, that Super Bowl was a dud. Time to shift our attention over to the NBA with a little bit of PGA, NHL and Nascar sprinkled in until the boys of summer start playing again. Monday’s NBA slate offers up six games with four of them providing a Vegas total of at least 225 points with no favorite over more than seven points. There is also a nice mix of value options and studs to consider when building out those DFS lineups on the site of your choosing.

NHL – Industry Expert Consensus – February 1st

The biggest slate since the break comes on Friday night on the ice as there are eight NHL matchups. A big slate brings a big list of potential skaters to roster in our DFS lineups but there are a few players at each position that float to the top of the list. The Weighted Consensus […]

NBA – Hot Sheet – February 1

While the Knicks/Mavericks trade blew up the Thursday slate by offering a variety of value for the Mavericks, Friday’s slate will likely be dominated by the Knicks value as the newly acquired players will not be ready to suit up for their new club yet. With all of the Knicks value, we should be able to pay up for at least a couple high-priced studs on Friday’s modest five-game slate.

NBA – Hot Sheet – January 31

We have an entertaining six-game slate in the Association on tap for Thursday night. Plenty of high Vegas totals and no double-digit favorites. As such, I had a difficult time trimming down my recommendations to just 10 players, so you get a “And 1” for 11 options. The list is also a little bit more top heavy than usual as there is not a lot of value opened up at the moment, but this is the NBA so be patient and pounce on the value starter that comes into play when that big-name player is suddenly ruled out for tonight.

NBA – Hot Sheet – January 30

We have a crazy eight-game slate of NBA action lined up on Wednesday night. The slate is full of strong options in the mid-priced range, so look to build a balanced lineup. There are a ton of plays that didn’t quite make my list for tonight, so I’ll list a few of them here: Jrue Holiday, Will Barton, Terry Rozier, Trae Young, Myles Turner, and Nikola Jokic. If those are the players that didn’t make the cut, don’t wait to find out who did!
