MLB – On the Hill – Wednesday (August 29)

The pitching on Wednesday night’s nine-game MLB slate isn’t going to impress anyone but there are a few options mixed in there that intrigue me. Also, without the need to roster a high-priced stud pitcher it offers up some additional salary space for stacking even a couple higher priced teams. My stacks do look very similar to last night for those following along.

MLB – On the Hill – Tuesday (August 28)

On a full 15-game MLB Tuesday slate, there are a bunch of pitchers and stacks that interest me. A few options that did not make my list today but I’ll give consideration to include on the mound, Jack Flaherty, Cole Hamels, Madison Bumgarner and Brian Johnson. From a stacking perspective, another “Top Stack” that didn’t quite make the list is the Yankees, while the Rockies are another “Contrarian Stack” that I will consider getting some exposure to. So, enough of who didn’t make the list, let’s see who did!

MLB – On the Hill – Monday (August 27)

Just looking at the pricing and matchups for Monday’s seven-game MLB slate and I was ready to consider both pitchers at Wrigley Field with Noah Syndergaard Jon Lester both reasonably priced. And then I looked at the weather in Chicago which calls for winds blowing out to left center at 15mph with gusts and a Vegas total coming at 10 runs, the highest on the slate. Those conditions have taken me off of both pitchers, but I’m still not convinced that there will be a pile or runs either, so I am also not recommending stacking either team.

MLB Expert Recap and Grades – Week of August 20

The Top 3 on both the pitchers and hitters leaderboards remains the same this week but things are starting to tighten up as we head into the dog days of summer. Weekly winners were RotoGrinders 6-pack on the pitching side and FantasyTeamAdvice on the hitting side. Meanwhile, FantasyAlarm led the way with eight low owned […]

MLB – On the Hill – Friday (August 24)

Lineup builds seem challenging on Friday’s big 14-game MLB slate. There just doesn’t seem to be much value to be obtained, especially on the hitting side. That said my research has really narrowed down to three main stacks that I like on the slate which will garner most if not all of my GPP exposure and none of them are playing in Coors Field.

MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – August 22nd

Wednesday night bring us a 10-game MLB slate. Most positions seem to have a clear-cut player or two to roster but fitting them all into a lineup will pose some difficulty. So, choose wisely when moving down the consensus list to find those value options to plug in. There is also a nice group of five stacks to consider.

MLB – On the Hill – Wednesday (August 22)

Wednesday features a 10-game evening slate of MLB action to digest and dissect. Upon further review, there are only three pitchers that I want to roster, so choosing who to recommend was quite straightforward on the mound. Picking out the hitting stacks was more challenging with numerous options worth consideration. So, in addition to my recommendations below be sure to also consider teams like the Rockies, Diamondbacks and maybe even the Pirates and Tigers.

MLB – On the Hill – Tuesday (August 21)

I’m not sure exactly what it is but I have a strong urge to stay away from the teams with the highest Vegas implied run totals on Tuesday’s big 15-game slate. So, while I might have some exposure to teams like the Rockies, A’s, Cubs, Brewers and Red Sox, I’m going a little deeper with all three of my stack recommendations for Tuesday night. On the pitching side, outside of one “lock” (hate using that word) it looks like a bit of a crapshoot so don’t be afraid to take a shot on your favorite arms in the mid-priced range in GPPs.

MLB – On the Hill – Monday (August 20)

Pitching pricing plays a big role on Monday’s 10-game slate, in my humble opinion. While there are definitive hitting stacks that I want to use, pitching is a little more of a crapshoot on Monday’s slate, so I’ll look to roster pitchers that present some value depending on the site when building my Cash and GPP lineups.
