MLB – On the Hill – Friday (July 27)

Friday’s full 15-game MLB slate is jam-packed with top-flight pitching options and stacks. There are so many good options that I am even extending my pitching list to four hurlers and extending my stacks to more than four hitters in a couple instances to accommodate lineup possibilities. You don’t want to miss out on playing this slate to kick off the last weekend in July.

MLB – On the Hill – Thursday (July 26)

An ugly pitching slate just got uglier with the only high-priced ace Stephen Strasburg getting scratched prior to Thursday’s nights nine-game DFS slate. With no real ace on the mound, I’ll provide two value options to consider for Cash games along with my usual Darkhorse option for GPPs. There are a few chalky looking stacks on the hitting side that should be easy to fit in with limited money being spent on pitching, along with one contrarian hitting stack that has piqued my interest.

MLB – On the Hill – Wednesday (July 25)

While the “brunch” slate has more games than the night slate on Wednesday, the four-game night slate has a lot of things going for it including the two highest Vegas run totals and the two biggest Vegas favorites. With the small slate, today’s “On the Hill” article will be a free offering. Enjoy! Be sure […]

MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – July 24th

Tuesday night features a 14-game MLB slate. It looks like it is going to be Chalk City on the hitting side with only four stacks making the list. Meanwhile, the pitching side of things could be wide open with mostly value options filling the list of recommendations.

The Weighted Consensus for the MLB is where we publish an in-depth version of rankings every day that considers each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking.  To calculate the Weighted Rank Score, each expert’s DailyOverlay score for hitters and pitchers is weighted on a sliding scale from 1 to 5 with the top expert in the current standings being weighted with a five while the last place expert is weighted with a one. This method gives the higher rated experts picks more weight when compiling the overall player rankings for the day. We will include all players that generate a Rank Score of at least 8.0.

The MLB Weighted Consensus article will be part of the premium content, so sign up now for a FREE 7-day trial so you don’t miss any of the content here at DailyOverlay.

Scroll to the bottom of the article for the “Top Stacks” section that lists out the teams with the most hitters being recommended by the experts today. Also, be sure to check each team’s lineup when it is released and watch the weather before finalizing your lineups.

MLB – On the Hill – Tuesday (July 24)

Tuesday night feels like the right time to load up on hitters and piece together a mix of value pitchers on the hill. The 14-game MLB slate includes a wide variety of good hitting environments and matchups many of which I expect to be fairly chalky. That said, I’m going to eat the chalk with my hitters tonight and try to differentiate my lineup with a collection of cheap pitching options.

MLB – On the Hill – Monday (July 23)

A 13-game MLB DFS slate kicks off the first full week of games since the All-Star break. As teams position for the playoff and the upcoming trade deadline there are numerous young, inexperienced starting pitchers taking the hill. We also have some weather concerns on the east coast to keep an eye on. All of this uncertainty should make for a wide-open DFS slate with spread out ownership and some surprise performances.

MLB – On the Hill – Friday (July 20)

Finally, we are back to baseball with the All-Star break and the most boring few days in sports behind us. Friday’s MLB DFS slate brings us 14-games of action but with very few high-priced Ace pitching options taking the mound. As such, this has led me to skip an “Ace” selection for the slate and instead give two “Value” options along with my “Darkhorse” pitcher. It’s a good night to load up on bats, even if they are chalky.

MLB – On the Hill – Friday (July 13)

Tonight is the Friday before the All-Star break and the beginning of the most boring few days of the year in sports. I guess it will be a good time to catch up on that yard work and spend some extra time with family and friends, or maybe I’ll just work on my Fantasy Football […]
