MLB – On the Hill – Thursday (May 24)

Thursday’s MLB DFS advice will focus on the four-game evening slate on DraftKings. Make special note of the 6:10 EST start time that was needed to fit the Astros/Indians game into the slate. FanDuel opted for running just a three-game slate starting at the usual time. This article will be free today with a short […]

MLB – On the Hill – Wednesday (May 23)

I’m not sure if I am just stubborn or a fool but despite a poor showing from my hitter stacks last night, I’m going right back to two of them again on Wednesday night’s 10-game slate. Meanwhile, on the pitching side, it looks like you will need to pay up at the position with only one true Ace to roster and limited value options to consider.

MLB – On the Hill – Tuesday (May 22)

Tuesday night features a full 15-game MLB slate. There is a pair of high-priced Aces on the hill who are both in favorable matchups as huge Vegas favorites so deciding between the two may be difficult but it also might not matter much as both will likely post similarly big fantasy numbers. So, the bigger decisions will come from determining which bats to stack and I’m staying pretty chalky as the big slate will naturally spread out ownership somewhat.

MLB – On the Hill – Monday (May 21)

Monday is an interesting slate of nine games. There are a bunch of mid-range pitching options that are appealing but finding full stacks that I like is a little more difficult. It might be a night to put together a few mini (2 or 3-man) stacks instead. So, I’ll have some different looking stacks recommendations today including a “cross-team game stack” and a contrarian stack that actually goes against my Darkhorse pitcher. Obviously, don’t use them in the same lineup but I have a feeling that game goes to one of the extremes for a pitcher just coming off the DL.

MLB Expert Recap and Grades – Week of May 14

The leader on both the pitching (RotoGrinders 6-pack) and hitting (FantasyTeamAdvice) remained the same this past week but there is still plenty of movement below them with DailyFantasyNerd moving into 2nd place on the pitching side and RotoGrinders-Consensus taking over the second spot on the hitting side. For the past week, RotoGrinders-Lineup Builder was the […]

MLB – On the Hill – Friday (May 18)

After a weak Thursday night slate, Friday comes back with a vengeance on a full 15-game MLB slate. You can get anything you want on Friday’s slate. You can pay top dollar for some ace pitching. You can get high-priced stacks, mid-priced stacks and even low-priced stacks. You can also get rain, so be sure to watch those weather forecasts as Mother Nature could ultimately nudge you in one direction or another. That’s enough of my rambling, let’s get to it!

MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – May 17th

It’s going to be the Wild, Wild, West out there in MLB DFS lineups on Thursday’s nine-game slate. Pitching is going to be a crapshoot, even more so now that Cole Hamels has been scratched from his start. I’m recommendation is to find the pitcher(s) you like and don’t worry about ownership percentages even in GPPs because it will be so spread out. There are two teams that highlight the hitting side but there is still plenty of directions you can go with smaller two or three-man stacks. Buckle up and enjoy the ride!

The Weighted Consensus for the MLB is where we publish an in-depth version of rankings every day that considers each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking.  To calculate the Weighted Rank Score, each expert’s DailyOverlay score for hitters and pitchers is weighted on a sliding scale from 1 to 5 with the top expert in the current standings being weighted with a five while the last place expert is weighted with a one. This method gives the higher rated experts picks more weight when compiling the overall player rankings for the day. We will include all players that generate a Rank Score of at least 8.0.

MLB – On the Hill – Thursday (May 17)

Yuck! Bleck! Ugh! Barf! Those are just a few words that come to mind when looking at the pitching option on Thursday night’s nine-game slate. I expected ownership to be all over the place as DFS analysts and players spin the wheel or throw a dart hoping to hit the right pitcher. I’m sure a few will emerge with a good outing but good luck predicting it with any level of confidence. I did my best to throw my dart as close to the bullseye as possible, only time will tell if I hit it or missed the board completely. At least there are a few hitter stacks that feel more confident in.

MLB – On the Hill – Tuesday (May 15)

Rain, rain, go away, come again another day, we have MLB DFS to play. The East Coast is full of games that have PPD risk on Tuesday’s big 14-game slate. Unfortunately, that is also where many of the best plays of the night are playing. My recommendations today are going to hope for the best but be ready to pivot as needed especially in you Cash game lineups.
