MLB – On the Hill – Monday (May 14)

Monday starts off the MLB DFS week with a solid eight-game slate. One team is dominating my attention on Monday’s slate but unfortunately, their game does have some rain in the forecast. Hopefully, Mother Nature was treated well on Mother’s Day so she brings sunshine to the ballparks on Monday night, especially to one park in particular.

MLB Expert Recap and Grades – Week of May 7

The Pitching Leaderboard had some big changes at the top with RotoGrinders 6-pack taking over the lead with Rotowire moving up into the second spot. Meanwhile, the Hitting Leaderboard remained about the same with FantasyTeamAdvice leading the way and DailyOverlay – On the Hill moving up one spot into 2nd place. Also, both ScoutFantasy and […]

MLB – On the Hill – Friday (May 11)

There are some difficult decisions to be made on Friday night’s 14-game DFS slate. With three high-priced Ace pitching options to choose from and numerous favorable hitting environments including Coors Field, it is impossible to fit in everything you really want. So, sacrifices will need to be made either on the mound or at the plate when building lineups on Friday. Luckily, there are some solid value pitching options to consider but they do come with their fair share of risk.

MLB – On the Hill – Thursday (May 10)

Pitching options are a little tenuous as an unexpected pitcher makes his way into “Ace” status on Thursday’s nine-game MLB slate. While my favorite pitcher to use in GPPs and consider in Cash games on two-pitcher sites should fly way under the radar. There are two games to give strong consideration to when rostering hitters […]

PGA – 2018 The Players Championship – Weighted Consensus

Welcome to the Weighted Consensus for the PGA where we publish a more in-depth version of the PGA Consensus rankings that take into account each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking.

To calculate the Weighted Rank Score, each expert’s DailyOverlay score is weighted on a sliding scale from 1 to 5 with the top expert in the current standings being weighted with a five while the last place expert is weighted with a one. If you have ever wondered how to differentiate between two players who were both selected by the same number of experts, then this is the list you need. We will include all players that are selected by at least two.

MLB – On the Hill – Wednesday (May 9)

The Wednesday night slate features seven-games of MLB action. I am not in love with any of the pitching options on the slate but I think there are a nice group of five teams to stack, all of which will likely be pretty popular, so don’t be afraid to differentiate your DFS lineup by getting just 2 or 3 hitters from each of the teams on today’s list plus also give consideration to the Phillies and Royals.

MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – May 8th

Tuesday features a big 14-game MLB DFS slate and the experts are all over the place when it comes to their recommendations, especially at pitcher where there are 11 different options that made the list. As such, you probably don’t need to worry about ownership percentages at pitcher, just pick your favorite. There are also only three hitting stacks of three or more batters on the list tonight but there are a lot of two-man stacks so it could be a night to pick and choice pairs of hitters instead of going with a full team stack.

The Weighted Consensus for the MLB is where we publish an in-depth version of rankings every day that considers each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking.  To calculate the Weighted Rank Score, each expert’s DailyOverlay score for hitters and pitchers is weighted on a sliding scale from 1 to 5 with the top expert in the current standings being weighted with a five while the last place expert is weighted with a one. This method gives the higher rated experts picks more weight when compiling the overall player rankings for the day. We will include all players that generate a Rank Score of at least 8.0.

MLB – On the Hill – Tuesday (May 8)

Tuesday’s big 14-game MLB DFS slate will force you to decide if you are going to pay up for pitching or hitting with numerous high-priced pitchers and some great hitting environments including Coors Field. With a variety of solid mid-priced and cheap pitching options available, I’m leaning toward focusing more of my salary on hitters as there are a bunch of hitting stacks that interest me. A couple that didn’t make the list today but I might get some exposure to include the Mets and Rangers.

MLB – On the Hill – Monday (May 7)

Monday’s seven-game MLB DFS slate has me to looking at rostering chalky pitching options and contrarian hitter stacks. There is only one true ace pitching option (Stephen Strasburg) on the slate but his salary is wildly different between FanDuel and DraftKings which should make him the chalk option on FanDuel but what do you do with him in DraftKings where his salary is $4,000 higher than the next most expensive pitcher? Get my thoughts in today’s “On the Hill” column along with three potentially contrarian GPP stacks.

MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – May 4th

Friday night features a full 15-game slate. The MLB DFS experts we pull picks from provided a nice mix of high-cost studs and value options to choose but only four stacks unless you count a full team eight-man stack as two. Choose wisely and May the Fourth be with you!

MLB – On the Hill – Friday (May 4)

While there is plenty of high-priced pitching option to consider on the big 15-game Friday night slate, I’ll be taking more of a value stance when it comes to rostering my pitchers. On the hitting side, we have plenty of warm (hot) weather starting to come into play with the winds blowing out in a few spots as well. Oh, and Happy Star Wars Day to everyone! May the force be with you went constructing your DFS lineups today.
