MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – April 5th (Early Slate)

We are breaking up the Thursday slate to provide two MLB Weighted Consensus rankings. This one will provide data from the DFS experts for the six-game early slate. The early slate looks pretty cut and dry on the pitching front with one pitcher standing alone at the top with two definitive options rounding out the top three. However, on the hitting side things are wide open with a variety of stacking options and relatively flat rank scores at each position. Stay tuned into DailyOverlay all day for your MLB fix.

The Weighted Consensus for the MLB is where we publish an in-depth version of rankings every day that considers each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking.  To calculate the Weighted Rank Score, each expert’s DailyOverlay score for hitters and pitchers is weighted on a sliding scale from 1 to 5 with the top expert in the current standings being weighted with a five while the last place expert is weighted with a one. This method gives the higher rated experts picks more weight when compiling the overall player rankings for the day. We will include all players that generate a Rank Score of at least 6.0.

The MLB Weighted Consensus article will be part of the premium content, so sign up now for a FREE 7-day trial so you don’t miss any of the content here at DailyOverlay.

Scroll to the bottom of the article for the “Top Stacks” section that lists out the teams with the most hitters being recommended by the experts today. Also, be sure to check each team’s lineup when it is released and watch the weather before finalizing your lineups tonight.

MLB – On the Hill – Wednesday (April 4)

Wednesday’s On the Hill article to focus on the five-game night slate. There shouldn’t be much trouble fitting in your favorite pitchers and hitter stacks on the Wednesday night slate with reasonable salaries on the top hitter’s stacks and quality mid-priced arms to pair them with. Since the Wednesday night slate is just five games, […]

MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – April 3rd

The MLB DFS experts love the high-priced studs on Tuesday night’s nine-game slate. Especially at pitcher with both Clayton Kershaw and Justin Verlander on the mound. They rank first and second according to the experts but which one comes out on top? Be sure to sign up for our Premium Content to find out. There is also one hitter that seems like a must-have featuring a higher Rank Score than even the two ace pitchers. There are also eight potential stacking options.

MLB – On the Hill – Tuesday (April 3)

Tuesday’s nine-game main slate finally includes some ace pitching options as a few of the Opening Day starters return to the bump including Clayton Kershaw and Justin Verlander. Despite some top of the rotation starters making their second start of the season, there are still plenty of solid stacking options. Some come with big price tags so I’ll try to find a little value to mix in to make them more manageable for a tight budget when we want to pay up for an ace pitcher if possible.

MLB – On the Hill – Monday (April 2)

We have officially reached the bottom of the MLB rotations for Monday’s nine-game main slate. Reliable pitching options are non-existent so I’m all about the strikeouts while I just hope they can also limit runs and pitch deep into the game. Of course, when there are limited good pitching options and the end of the rotations are on the hill then there are plenty of good stacking opportunities, however, I have limited myself to just list my favorite three stacks.

MLB – On the Hill – Friday (March 30)

While everything didn’t go according to plan on Opening Day with my recommendations it was still great to watch some baseball. Friday night’s slate brings us nine games with cheaper pitching options to choose from. I also seem to like a lot of the deeper, more contrarian stacks tonight. MLB – On the Hill – Thursday (March 29)

The MLB Opening Day has finally arrived! Time for the crack of the bat, the pop of the glove and, of course, DFS baseball. This year my “On the Hill” column will take on the same format as last season, where I list “3 Up” which includes the pitchers that I like on the slate […]
