NBA – What If – Tuesday (Feb 27)

The string of quiet injury news following the NBA All-Star break continues without many impactful injuries to watch prior to Tuesday’s six-game slate. Of course, that can change in a moment’s notice and with three teams (Bulls, Nets, Kings) playing the second game of a back-to-back those are the teams I would keep my eye […]

NBA – Hot Sheet – Tuesday (Feb 27)

Tuesday night’s six-game NBA slate includes three games with double-digit favorites (Hornets, Cavaliers, Blazers) playing teams on the second game of a back-to-back (Bulls, Nets, Kings), which leads me to focus primarily on the other three games on the slate.

The grid below is a snapshot of today’s slate that shows the overall rating for each position for each team. The numbers highlighted in red are the positions that are in the top 25% of their position for the slate and indicate good plays. Meanwhile, the numbers highlighted in blue are the positions that are in the bottom 25% of their respective position for the slate and are positions to avoid.

NBA – Industry Expert Consensus – February 26th

Value plays headline the NBA DFS Industry Weighted Consensus list on a big 10-game Monday slate. Out of 10 games, nine of them come in with a Vegas total of 210 or higher but beware of some double-digit spreads for the Raptors, Celtics, Warriors and Thunder that could cut short some star players nights.

The Weighted Consensus for the NBA uses each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking. To calculate the Weighted Rank Score, each expert’s DailyOverlay score for players is weighted on a sliding scale from 1 to 5 with the top expert in the current standings being weighted with a five while the last place expert is weighted with a one. This method gives the higher rated experts picks more weight when compiling the overall player rankings for the day. We will include all players that generate a Rank Score of at least 10.0.

NBA – What If – Monday (Feb 26)

Another fairly quiet night on the NBA injury watch front despite a big 10-game NBA slate. However, still watch closely for late-breaking news with three teams on the second game of a back-to-back (Pistons, Rockets, and Pelicans). This article will attempt to list all of the relevant injury situations to monitor for the day’s NBA […]

NBA – Hot Sheet – Monday (Feb 26)

Monday’s slate features 10-games of NBA action that includes a little bit of everything including three teams on the second game of a back-to-back (Pistons, Rockets and Pelicans) and four games with double-digit favorites (Raptors, Celtics, Warriors and Thunder).

Between the back-to-backs and big favorites which accounts for most of the high-priced studs on the slate, I find myself gravitating toward the mid-range salaries for my lineup construction which includes a lot of good high-upside options. Could it be a mistake to fade all the high-priced studs, maybe, but only time will tell.

NBA – What If – Friday (Feb 23)

With the first big slate after the All-Star break on Friday night (11-games) there are more players expected to return from injury than those who might not play. This could make finding good value options difficult on Friday’s slate. This article will attempt to list all of the relevant injury situations to monitor for the […]

NBA – Hot Sheet – Friday (Feb 23)

The six-game slate last night was a tasty appetizer to the huge 11-game NBA slate on Friday night as the rest of the league gets back into action following the All-Star break. With the time off from the break teams are getting more healthy which makes finding value increasingly difficult despite the large slate. So, unless something changes before tipoff, I’m looking to take more of a balanced approach to lineup construction forgoing the high-priced studs. Note that if I was to find the money to pay up for one stud it would be James Harden. Also, keep in mind that these recommendations are slated toward DraftKings pricing and on a night where every penny counts watch for different value options depending on the site you play on.

NBA – What If – Wednesday (Feb 14)

With Wednesday’s Valentine’s Day NBA slate as the last game before the All-Star break for many teams on full 12-game slate, there could be some surprise inactives, like the Hawks just dropped. So while the injury watch list seems fairly quiet there could be some unexpected scratches as we near tipoff. This article will attempt […]
