MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – August 24th

We have a modest six-game Thursday night slate of MLB action but there are still seven teams to consider stacking including two that should be very popular according to the industry experts. Meanwhile, on the pitching side, there are a lot of high-priced option on the slate but only three make the consensus list. It could be a tricky slate to navigate so sign up for our premium content and the wisdom of the MLB DFS Industry Experts help guide the way.

The Weighted Consensus for the MLB is where we publish a more in-depth version of the MLB Consensus rankings every day that considers each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking.  To calculate the Weighted Rank Score, each expert’s DailyOverlay score for hitters and pitchers is weighted on a sliding scale from 1 to 5 with the top expert in the current standings being weighted with a five while the last place expert is weighted with a one. This method gives the higher rated experts picks more weight when compiling the overall player rankings for the day. We will include all players that generate a Rank Score of at least 6.0.

The MLB Weighted Consensus article will be part of the premium content every day except Wednesday and the weekend this season. Sign up now for a FREE 7-day trial so you don’t miss any of the content here at DailyOverlay.

MLB – On the Hill – August 24

For Thursday I look at the six-game night slate where lineup construction could prove to be challenging. I don’t know if I have ever said this before but it is hard to find a lot of good hitting options. With so many good pitchers on the slate, there are not many hitter stacks that are playing in favorable hitting conditions on the small slate. Also with good pitchers facing off against each other, there are not many pitching options I am confident in. Weird slate and probably one where I will greatly reduce my play.

MLB – On the Hill – August 23

My picks were good yesterday with all three of my teams to stack scoring at least seven runs and both my Ace (Chris Archer) and Darkhorse (Patrick Corbin) finishing as two of the four highest scoring pitchers on the slate. I don’t have quite as strong of a read on tonight’s slate but there are still some options bubbled to the top of my list including a sneaky stack against of one the high-priced pitchers. MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – August 22nd

We have a 14-game slate for Tuesday night in the MLB. The Consensus list supplies us with 10 different teams that can be considered when stacking including five that have five players on the list. If the experts are right, then there are a couple obvious pitchers that should be in your Cash lineup. However, there are also a couple of intriguing value options to consider for those GPP lineups.

MLB – On the Hill – August 22

I really like Tuesday’s 14-game MLB slate. It has a nice mix of high-end and value pitching options to choose from and the stacks that I want to target crystallized fairly quickly. I feel that I have a good read on the slate and where I want to go with my ownership. We will provide […]

MLB – On the Hill – August 18

So, I woke up this morning to my wife screaming and running into the bedroom as there was a bat in our house that swooped down by her as she was walking upstairs. Once we went to look for the bat and try to get it back outside we couldn’t find it. All I know is that is not the way you want to start your day. However, the important question here is having a bat in your house a good thing for your DFS “bats” you recommend and place in your lineups? Or does it mean that my recommendations today are just “batty”? Sorry, couldn’t resist.

MLB – On the Hill – August 17

We have a mini five-game slate for Thursday night in the MLB and it could get even smaller if the Cardinals/Pirates game is rained out so be sure to keep an eye on the weather there. On a small slate pitching and hitting, options are both pretty straight forward so picking the right players in your stack is more important than picking the right team to stack.
