PGA – 2017 Wyndham Championship – Weighted Consensus

Welcome to the Weighted Consensus for the PGA where we publish a more in-depth version of the PGA Consensus rankings that takes into account each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking.

To calculate the Weighted Rank Score, each expert’s DailyOverlay score is weighted on a sliding scale from 1 to 5 with the top expert in the current standings being weighted with a five while the last place expert is weighted with a one. If you have ever wondered how to differentiate between two players who were both selected by the same number of experts, then this is the list you need. We will include all players that are selected by at least two.

Today’s “On the Hill” article will focus on the nine-game night slate of MLB action. While the pitching options are fairly limited there are too many teams that I want to stack and get exposure to. I’m not too interested in any deeper contrarian stacks tonight so I will only list three “top” stacks to use none of which play at Coors Field.

MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – August 14th

Pitching looks like a mess on Monday night’s 10-game slate but two pitchers have risen to the top of the Weighted Consensus Rankings. Meanwhile, with games at Coors Field, Chase Field, Roger Centre and Yankee Stadium there are plenty of teams to stack. However, a surprise team leads the way with six players on the consensus list.

The Weighted Consensus for the MLB is where we publish a more in-depth version of the MLB Consensus rankings every day that considers each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking.  To calculate the Weighted Rank Score, each expert’s DailyOverlay score for hitters and pitchers is weighted on a sliding scale from 1 to 5 with the top expert in the current standings being weighted with a five while the last place expert is weighted with a one. This method gives the higher rated experts picks more weight when compiling the overall player rankings for the day. We will include all players that generate a Rank Score of at least 6.0.

MLB – On the Hill – August 10

I don’t remember the last time I saw pay lines as low as last night. Still cashing in 50/50s with a score in the 80s just doesn’t feel right. It almost feels worse than putting up a big score and still not finding the money (I said almost). Anyway, don’t expect that to happen again on Thursday night’s 10-game slate where pitching is made up of the “haves” and “have nots”. I’d suggest sticking to the top high-priced options on the mound with the exception of one value play that I do like. There are a lot of good hitter stack options so be sure to get a variety of exposure at the plate.

I’m okay with that but it usually means either a big win or a big loss. Maybe I am too confident after my big 238 score with my Cash game lineup on FanDuel yesterday or maybe I have a good read on things right now.
