MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – June 26th

Just a six-game slate of MLB action on Monday night. One high-priced pitching option sits atop of the rankings but there is a strong value option that is a close second. On the hitting side, there are five teams with at least five hitters to consider stacking from the Consensus list.

The Weighted Consensus for the MLB is where we publish a more in-depth version of the MLB Consensus rankings every day that considers each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking.  To calculate the Weighted Rank Score, each expert’s DailyOverlay score for hitters and pitchers is weighted on a sliding scale from 1 to 5 with the top expert in the current standings being weighted with a five while the last place expert is weighted with a one. This method gives the higher rated experts picks more weight when compiling the overall player rankings for the day. We will include all players that generate a Rank Score of at least 6.0.

MLB – On the Hill – June 26

Well, maybe birthday mojo is a thing, as I had a good night on Friday. No life changing score but a very solid DFS night by more than doubling my investment for the day. Let’s see if some of the birthday mojo can carry over to Monday’s small six-game evening slate. I’m not in love […]

MLB – On the Hill – June 23

Today is my birthday, so I think it seems right that all my pitcher and stack recommendations perform great and my DFS lineups win all the monies on this 15-game Friday night slate. Sound good? Great! Since it is my birthday I am feeling generous so I will give away my Ace pitching selection and analysis for free. However, if you want to get a piece of the birthday mojo then be sure to sign up for our premium content to read the entire “On the Hill” article including a gut call for my Contrarian stack of the day.

Let’s mow down the competition 3 Up and 3 Down…

3 Up

Ace

Alex Wood (FD-$9,500 / DK-$9,600)
Wood only throws about 90 pitches per start but that should be enough to handle the Rockies’ offense on the road. The Rockies only have a 6.5% walk rate versus lefties this season so Wood should be able to pitch deeper into the game even with only 90 pitches. The Rockies also have the 9th highest strikeout rate (23.7%) against southpaws and Wood comes in as a big home favorite. I have Wood and Chris Archer very close and would consider Archer over Wood on FanDuel where they are more closely priced. However, on DraftKings where Wood is almost $3,000 cheaper, he is the better option for Cash games. Both are worth consideration in GPPs on any site.

MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – June 22nd (Main Slate)

We only have four teams worth stacking on the Thursday night six-game slate according to the MLB experts. However, you can stack pretty much anyone you want from those teams with each of them consisting of at least five players on the consensus list. There are also limited pitching options on the slate with just five hurlers making the list.

MLB – On the Hill – June 22 (Main)

The Thursday night main slate consists of six games of MLB action. While it might not have the offensive firepower that the afternoon slate had with a game at Coors Field there are still a couple of high-end teams to stack. The pitching side of things looks a little better than the afternoon slate with an ace that is worth paying up for and a couple of solid value options. As Ernie Banks said, “Let’s play two”, slates that is.

MLB – On the Hill – June 21

The pitching options on Wednesday night’s 11-game MLB slate are nothing to get excited about. It is just a collection of solid but unspectacular pitchers that are difficult to decipher who will rise to the top. Pulling out the dart board to pick one might be your best bet. That said, I tried my best to weed through the options to deliver who I think will bubble up to the top including a Darkhorse pick that I never expected to recommend when I started my research. As usual, the hitting side of things is much easier with numerous stacking options again. I am straying away from Coors Field again tonight but if I do stack one of the teams it would be the Diamondbacks.

MLB – On the Hill – June 20

I really like Tuesday’s 15-game slate. There are so many quality stacking options on the slate that I had a hard time narrowing it down to three. Others that I like that aren’t listed are the Blue Jays, Indians and Cardinals. On the pitching side, there is only one Ace option and he is worth […]

MLB – On the Hill – June 19

A nice big 11-game slate on Monday to begin another week of the MLB grind. Pitching will be hard to come by unless you are willing to pay up for it on Monday. There are three very strong Ace pitching options including Clayton Kershaw, Corey Kluber and Jon Lester. So strong that I am going […]
