Well, my DraftKings GPP lineup which didn’t follow any of our rules managed to cash last night. The Tigers were in a good spot and put up 11 runs to prove it. I was also able to win with my Cash game lineup on DraftKings to run my streak to four straight wins. Hopefully, I don’t jinx myself like I did Stephen with his FantasyDraft lineups on Friday. Should be a fun Wednesday night with a big 12-game slate of games.

Here is a list of the “rules” we are following when constructing lineups:

  1. We will make two separate lineups for each site (FanDuel and DraftKings), one for Cash games and one for GPP tournaments.
  2. For Cash games, we will build the core of our lineup from the Consensus list using any player listed regardless of what tier they are in and will be allowed to choose 1 player that is not on the Consensus list that we consider to be a good play.
  3. For GPP games, we are allowed to choose up to add 2-3 players that are not on the Consensus list to help complete a hitter stack or we consider to be a good play.
  4. We can modify any lineup as we see fit for any late-breaking lineup news that opens up good options even if they are not on the Consensus list.

As always be sure to check for late-breaking news regarding weather and lineups.

Cash Game Lineup

fd50508.3

Cash Narrative – I’m breaking the rules a bit tonight in both formats. Two off the board plays in this lineup with Gyorko and Joyce. Matz has been a steady producer in DFS this season. I’m a big fan of the Cardinals tonight (and every night) so I wanted to get Holliday and/or Piscotty in. I was able to do so with Holliday.

GPP Lineup

GPP Narrative – I built my lineup first and then selected a pitcher. That is opposite of what I typically do but I was excited to get Fulmer in the lineup after I selected my bats. There are three off the board plays in this lineup..I’m breaking rules again. Those off the board plays are Barnhart, Reynolds and Moss. Stacks of Cardinals and Rockies in hopes of a big return. GPP has not been kind to me lately so I could use a rebound.

Cash Narrative – If I wanted to pay up for Cueto, I had to drop down and grab a cheap Wacha to make my hitters work. I don’t love Wacha but he hopefully he can at least get double-digits. I do like how my hitters came together using only plays from the Consensus list tonight.

GPP Narrative – If you read my “On the Hill” article today then you know I am going to take a big gamble with Tyler Duffey tonight. Figured I better “put my money where my mouth is” so I am rolling with Duffey and another one of my favorite pitchers tonight Marco Estrada who I feel has big upside. By going cheap at pitcher, I was able to grab a chalky stack of Rockies and Giants including off the board plays of Arenado and Belt. If you don’t like Duffey or Estrada I left $1,500 of extra salary cap for you to play with on the pitching side.

Cash Narrative – Last night my cash game lineup, which I always throw into a GPP, finished 5th overall in the MLB Single on FantasyDraft. That is my third top 5 finish in a months time in that $1 contest. I am enjoying my run on FantasyDraft, it’s too bad I can’t count that toward our Construction ROI. Anyway, I faded Maddy B last night and that paid off, but I am going to run out Cueto in cash along with Michael Fulmer. My lone off-the-board play today is Neil Walker at Yankee Stadium against plug-and-play SP Chad Green. Short porch in NY, here the Mets come!

GPP Narrative – Hamels is one of my BvP Plays of the Day, but I can’t say I am super confident about him. I have yet to roster him in lineups this season (except once in a road start at MN a few weeks ago), so me plugging him in tonight makes me quite nervous. Matt Kemp would’ve been a BvP play if I had the data in time, so he’s off-the-board for me along with Walker again. I love the Cards tonight, but I wanted a Coors lineup instead. I realize I have 3 off-the-board plays with Whalen as one of my pitchers at the dirt cheap price of $8,000. This is a lineup I could see crushing it with my bats, only to have it erased with my pitching.
