I am pulling double-duty tonight with Matt on vacation so I will be supplying both the FanDuel and DraftKings lineups. So if they look similar, especially in Cash that is why. Meanwhile, Stephen will be providing the FantasyDraft lineups for the second week after a solid opening week especailly with his Cash game lineups.
Here is a list of the “rules” we are following when constructing lineups:
- We will make two separate lineups for each site (FanDuel and DraftKings), one for Cash games and one for GPP tournaments.
- For Cash games, we will build the core of our lineup from the Consensus list using any player listed regardless of what tier they are in and will be allowed to choose 1 player that is not on the Consensus list that we consider to be a good play.
- For GPP games, we are allowed to choose up to add 2-3 players that are not on the Consensus list to help complete a hitter stack or we consider to be a good play.
- We can modify any lineup as we see fit for any late-breaking lineup news that opens up good options even if they are not on the Consensus list.
As always be sure to check for late-breaking news regarding weather and lineups.

Cash Game Lineup
Cash Narrative – Carrasco is my favorite Cash game pitcher tonight. He does come with some risk but all of the option tonight do and Carrasco doesn’t cost as much. On the hitting side, I was able to get a nice mix of value and upside using only players from today’s Consensus list.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – Taking a gamble with Hendricks as my GPP pitcher tonight. He has the upside to be the top scoring pitcher of the night if he can pitch deep into the game and outduel Scherzer. Paired up a few hitting combos with Tigers (Cabrera/Martinez), White Sox (Lawrie/Frazier) and Brewers (Lucroy/Braun) and rounded out my lineup with some value options (Cozart/Peralta). My entire lineup was from the Consensus today.

Cash Game Lineup
Cash Narrative – Pairing up Carrasco with Chen who I expect to have some strikeout upside tonight against the Padres. By saving a little money on pitchers, I was able to get a variety of stud hitters including three Blue Jays who have the highest implied Vegas total tonight.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – Going with a high-risk (hopefully high-reward) approach with my GPP lineup using Hendricks and Boyd as an off the board pitcher to save a ton of money to pay up for some big bats. Went with four sets of pairs with the Brewers (Lucroy/Braun), Diamondbacks (Goldschmidt/Peralta), Blue Jays (Donaldson, Bautista) and Twins (Nunez/Dozier) with Dozier as my only off the board hitter.

Cash Game Lineup
Cash Narrative – Well, tonight is certainly ugly for pitching options. I am curious to see if the Cubs will get to Scherzer again or if that was a result of bad form. He’s the top option on the board with the highest upside, but he has struggled to keep the ball in the park. I am still rolling with him and Greinke (my favorite pitching play of the slate) in my cash game. I had to get creative with the Consensus a bit to fit both. I have 3 catchers in my lineup, including Josh Thole who is in the lineup for Russell Martin, who is on our Expert Consensus. I hate Hendricks today on the road against the Nats. He’s too expensive on FantasyDraft and DraftKings to warrant consideration, considering he pitches about 5 innings a game.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – C’mon, James Shields can’t be THAT bad ALL the time can he? I think he’s in a perfect spot tonight. He will be underowned, but I think he’s still got something left in the tank. He’s so inexpensive here and on DraftKings ($4,800). He has solid BvP against the whole Tigers’ lineup except Miggy, Aviles and Justin Upton, who he has never faced. Shields is going to give up a bomb or two, but I bet he strikes out 6 or 7 as the Tigers own a +23% K rate on the year against RH pitching. My off-the-board plays are Mallex Smith (leading off) and Ender Inciarte (batting second). I LOVE this game as you see with my selection of Reds off the Consensus as well. I think the top-4 Braves are excellent Tourney options with Markakis batting cleanup against a young, struggling pitcher and same goes with the Reds vs. Aaron Blair. Frazier makes this lineup because i needed to spend the salary and Goldy is in an awesome spot at home against the reverse-split righty of Mike Bolsinger. Good luck all!
