If you read my On the Hill article today you know that I am fading Chris Sale tonight which could make me look like a genius or an idiot but I am sticking to it in both my DraftKings lineups tonight. This has been the “week of Matt” so far with his FanDuel lineups winning a perfect 3-for-3 in Cash games and 2-for-3 in GPPs. Stephen and I will look to join the party tonight!
Here is a list of the “rules” we are following when constructing lineups:
- We will make two separate lineups for each site (FanDuel and DraftKings), one for Cash games and one for GPP tournaments.
- For Cash games, we will build the core of our lineup from the Consensus list using any player listed regardless of what tier they are in and will be allowed to choose 1 player that is not on the Consensus list that we consider to be a good play.
- For GPP games, we are allowed to choose up to add 2-3 players that are not on the Consensus list to help complete a hitter stack or we consider to be a good play.
- We can modify any lineup as we see fit for any late-breaking lineup news that opens up good options even if they are not on the Consensus list.
As always be sure to check for late-breaking news regarding weather and lineups.
Entrant – Matt – FanDuel
Cash Game Lineup
Cash Narrative – Can I go for 4-4 in the Cash game this week? You bet your behind I can and here is the lineup to do it (hopefully)! No off the board plays. I’ll fade Sale in both formats due to the sage advice of Brad in his On the Hill column.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – A stack of Mets in Coors. That sounds mighty tasty. Let’s get back to the big cash like earlier this week. Off the board plays with the bottom of the Jays lineup in Thole and Barney. Hopefully, there will be plenty of Jays on base for them to drive in when the lineup rolls around…and plenty of Jays to drive them in after they get on base.
Entrant – Brad- DraftKings
Cash Game Lineup
Cash Narrative – Paying down for two pitchers that I think will be “safe” and then loading up on bats with many of the top plays from the Consensus list today.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – Going a little bit outside our GPP “rules” tonight. How often is there a game at Coors Field and there is not a single Rockies hitter on the Consensus list? Well, that is the case tonight with the Rockies facing Matt Harvey. But Harvey hasn’t been his dominating self so far this season I am going with the top four hitters in the Rockies lineup as off-the-board plays and pairing them up with a trio of Giants from the Consensus. I am also taking one off-the-board pitchers tonight with the “dirt cheap” Junior Guerra pitching against the Padres as a home favorite.
Entrant – Stephen- FantasyAces
Cash Game Lineup
Cash Game Narrative – I am bound to Brandon Finnegan tonight, so hopefully the Phillies don’t get any crazy ideas and start sawing off lefties. Hopefully, Finnegan can limit damage and pile the strikeouts. Josh Thole will be in both lineups as a “scratch/injury” play in both lineups. This allowed for Sale to be used in my cash game lineup.
GPP Lineup
GPP Narrative – I actually really like Jon Gray tonight despite the matchup. Nonetheless, I wanted to get in Guerra instead and then paired him with Finnegan as one of my off-the-board plays. My other is Mitch Moreland, so I guess I am really liking the Rangers tonight along with the Blue Jays. I think Brad has the right call against Matt Harvey though, going all Rockies with none of them on the Consensus list. Harvey has been very Two-Faced this year ( i hope many of you get that reference).
