This will be the final weekly update as the next Recap that I post will be the season recap. We will continue grading MLB on Tuesday, Wednesday and either Thursday or Friday for at least this week. We’ve had discussions on continuing through the end of the season but have yet to make a firm decision. If you’d like us to continue posting the Consensus articles through the end of MLB, please let us know. As always, check out our MLB Expert Standings to make sure that you’re up to speed on who is making the grade. Enjoy!

Also, don’t forget to sign up to be a premium member so that you don’t miss out on any content. We are still offering a FREE 7-DAY TRIAL and only $9.99/month after that. You’ll be glad you signed up!

In this article, I will give a brief recap of each day we gathered and graded the experts, including how the Industry Consensus picks did, highlighting which experts were at the top for the day and which players were only called out by one expert, but produced an “A+” grade. We will also review the overall standings and highlight the top experts so far this season.

As a reminder, we are currently gathering selections and publishing the MLB Industry Consensus article each weekday during the season, so be sure to check back about an hour or so before the first pitch of the first game to get a look at the consensus picks and sample lineups for the day. As an added bonus in 2017, we will publish the Consensus on weekends when we have a writer available. To begin the 2017 season, we will grade 20 experts that provide pitcher selections and 21 that provide hitter selections daily.

Leaderboard

The top-3 for both pitchers and hitters are below. Be sure to check out the full MLB Expert Standings to see how your favorite experts check out.

Pitchers

#1) DailyFantasyNerd (Score: 5.11) looks like they are going to claim the crown this year barring a complete collapse. The only suspense will be if they can maintain a season-long score north of 5.0, which is quite impressive.

#2) DailyFantasySportsRankings (Score: 4.94) is really fighting for 2nd place at this point. They maintain a fairly comfortable lead over the nearest competition for that slot.

#3) RotoGrinders Consensus (Score: 4.86) need a strong run to close out the season to hop above DFSR. They also should watch out for FantasyLabs who sit a mere .03 behind them for the final top-3 slot.

Hitters

#1) RotoGrinders 6-Pack (Score: 3.08) is done for the season. Beer should hang on to win the season-long crown.

#2) FantasyTeamAdvice (Score: 3.02) stayed flat once again this week. Can FTA make one final (big!) push to challenge the top spot.

#3) RotoGrinders Lineup Builder (Score: 2.91) also stayed flat for the week. They have several experts nipping at their heels that they will have to hold off.
