We had a fun series in Coors between the Rockies and Nationals that enable some of you to find the DFS paydirt. Some shuffles in the overall top-3 but only one major mover. FantasyTeamAdvice used a big week to narrow the gap between themselves and 1st place to a very slim margin. This time next week, I may be writing about their rise to the top of the mountain. As always, check out our MLB Expert Standings to make sure that you’re up to speed on who is making the grade.  Enjoy!

In this article, I will give a brief recap of each day we gathered and graded the experts, including how the Industry Consensus picks did, highlighting which experts were at the top for the day and which players were only called out by one expert, but produced an “A+” grade. We will also review the overall standings and highlight the top experts so far this season.

As a reminder, we are currently gathering selections and publishing the MLB Industry Consensus article each weekday during the season, so be sure to check back about an hour or so before the first pitch of the first game to get a look at the consensus picks and sample lineups for the day. As an added bonus in 2017, we will publish the Consensus on weekends when we have a writer available. To begin the 2017 season, we will grade 20 experts that provide pitcher selections and 21 that provide hitter selections daily.

Leaderboard

The top-3 for both pitchers and hitters are below. Things are getting awfully tight on the pitching side of things with ten experts grading out between 4.0 and 5.0. On the hitter side, the top-6 have created some solid separation with the top-3 having a stranglehold on that next tier of three. Check out the full MLB Expert Standings to see how your favorite experts check out.

Pitchers

#1) DailyFantasySportsRankings (Score: 4.96) took a dip below the 5.0 threshold but still maintains the lead. That lead, however, is shrinking and DFSR is in jeopardy of falling out of the top slot.

#2) FantasyTeamAdvice (Score: 4.86) made a big leap with a solid showing last week. FTA was not even inside the top-3 after last week.

#3) Daily Overlay – Value Index (Score: 4.63) found its way back onto the leaderboard. Stephen put together a well-rounded week to slot himself back among the leaders.

Hitters

#1) Daily Overlay – On the Hill (Score: 3.54) saw his gap between 1st and 2nd close significantly. This was not so much due to a major slip by Brad but more of a monstrous week from our expert at #2.

#2) FantasyTeamAdvice (Score: 3.46) had a huuuuuge week to vault into 2nd place. If they can put together another week like that, they’ll be on top of the mountain looking down on everyone.

#3) RotoGrinders 6-Pack (Score: 3.29) managed to hang in the top-3 with a decent week. He has a pretty sizable gap between the nearest competition.
