Thursday never looking back, it’s Friday and I’m in love…with this slate.
I am so in love that I could probably give you 20 plays that I absolutely love tonight, maybe more. Narrowing down today’s selections has been difficult. Today is definitely a high-volume, multi-entry day for me.
We have an s-ton of gas cans on the mound today and here is what we are looking at as far as offenses.
Nats vs. Andrew Cashner
Mets vs.Julio Teheran
Tigers vs. lefty Brian Johnson
Red Sox vs. Jordan Zimmermann
Diamondbacks vs. Zack Davies at Chase Field
Brewers vs. Randall Delgado at Chase Field
Pirates vs. Vance Worley
It’s a pretty solid list of spots to attack and I feel there are lots of value pitchers on the board. It’s possible the cheap options render Corey Kluber irrelevant.
Anyway, due to the number of picks today and to give you time to prep without all the reading, below are the players I like the most for tonight’s slate. No gifs, no long analyses, just picks and a small blurb. Good luck today!
Daniel Murphy – Bryce Harper is 1A for me, but Murphy is 1B against Andrew Cashner at home.
David Peralta – Davies struggles against lefties, hitter’s park and one of the cheaper lefty options for the D-Backs.
Michael Conforto – Somehow Mets lefties have struggled with Teheran, but they haven’t played in SunTrust. Conforto has the best BvP of all the Mets lefties outside of Lucas Duda, but I like Conforto leading off on the road the most.
Miguel Cabrera – A right-handed heavy team in Fenway where RH bats thrive, AND against a lefty? Miggy isn’t the only one here. J.D., James McCann, Kinsler and Upton all in play.
Jhoulys Chacin – At home where he pitches well, facing a bottom 5 team in wOBA against RH pitching (Kansas City Royals).
Gregory Polanco – Failed us yesterday, way better matchup today against Vance Worley who has allowed a 56% hard contact to lefties this season.
Mookie Betts – Haven’t gotten this guy right in a long time, but he’s up against Jordan Zimmermann, one of the worst pitchers in baseball right now. Maybe tonight’s the night.
Matt Moore – The Twins can hit lefties, but Moore has pitched well in AT&T Park this season. The Twins don’t offer a ton of power in this matchup.
AndrewTriggs – Faces the worst strikeout team against RH pitching. This is a RH heavy lineup and Triggs have been good againt RH.
