Another strong week from the NBA experts this week, especially on the Tuesday and Wednesday night slates. Friday night has been a down night by comparison the last two weeks in a row. I’m not sure why, maybe too much focus shifted to the NFL or maybe the experts were still in a turkey coma from Thanksgiving this week. We will continue to monitor it in the coming weeks to see if it becomes a trend.
In this article, I will give a brief recap of each day we gathered and graded the experts, including how the Industry Consensus picks did, highlighting which experts were at the top for the day and which players were only called out by one or two experts, but produced an “A+” grade. I will also review the overall standings, highlighting the top experts so far this season. You can view the full NBA Overall Standings here.

Week in Review
Tuesday (Nov 24)
Tuesday night featured a small six-game slate. Tuesday was a strong night for the experts with four different sites getting a Daily Overlay score higher than six.
Industry Consensus Picks
The Industry Consensus picks finished in the middle of the pack on Tuesday with a Daily Overlay Score of 5.73 which was good for 5th place out of the 10 experts graded.

Top Experts of the Day
#1) FantasyTeamAdvice (Score: 7.30) ran away with top honors on the day with 9 out of their 10 selections receiving either an “A+” or “A” grade. They had many of the top consensus picks such as Avery Bradley, Stephen Curry, Thabo Sefolosha and Nikola Jokic, but also had some less popular plays such as Greg Harris and Draymond Green.
#2) DailyRoto (Score: 6.36) finishes in the second spot with 9 out of 14 selection receiving an “A” grade or better. DailyRoto was primarily lead by many of the top consensus picks such as Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard, DeAndre Jordan and Mason Plumlee.

Wednesday (Nov 25)
Wednesday night featured a full Pre-Thanksgiving slate of 12 games. The scores for the experts were strong again on Wednesday with three experts getting a Daily Overlay score of six or higher.
Industry Consensus Picks
The Industry Consensus picks were solid again, finishing in the middle of the pack with a 6th place showing out of 12 experts graded with a Daily Overlay score of 5.30.

#1) DFSonDemand (Score: 7.57) performed very well with 5 out of 7 picks receiving an “A+” grade. Key selections included some of the top consensus picks such as Anthony Davis, Isaiah Thomas, and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, but also included some picks that were not as popular such as Nicolas Batum and Andre Drummond.
#2) DailyRoto (Score: 6.24) finished in the second spot for the second consecutive day with a total of 10 “A+” grades out of 21 selections, including some consensus picks such as Russell Westbrook, Kyle Lowry, Kevin Durant and Rudy Gay and some more off the radar picks of Omri Casspi and Robert Covington.

Black Friday featured another big 12 game NBA slate for DFS players. Grades were down in general on Friday for the experts with only one expert reaching a 6.0 on the Daily Overlay grading scale.

The Industry Consensus picks had a very poor showing on Friday, finishing in 10th place out of 12 experts graded with a DailyOverlay score of 3.77, the lowest of the week by far.

#1) RotoGrinders 6-pack (Score: 6.00) topped the expert’s list on Friday receiving 5 grades of an “A” or higher out of 6 selections. Consensus picks such as James Harden and Kevin Love came through in addition to an off the radar selection of Kosta Koufos.
#2) FantasyBasketball101 (Score: 5.50) finished in the top two for the first time this week with 4 out of 6 selections receiving either an “A+ or “A” grade. Key selections included Kawhi Leonard, Robert Covington, Kevin Love and Ish Smith.

Overall Leaderboard
We now have completed five weeks of the NBA season and the overall standings have the same experts holding onto the top spots on the leaderboard. You can view the full NBA Overall Standings here.
#1) DailyRoto (Score 5.38) remaining in the top spot with another good week including finishing in the top 2 on both Tuesday and Wednesday again this week.
#2) RotoGrinders NBA Grind Down (Score: 5.18) holds the second spot again this week, despite not finishing in the top two on any day this week, however, they did finish in the top 5 twice.
#3) Moxyball-MoxyList (Score 4.98) remains in third place following numerous middle of the pack days this week.
The Daily Overlay Industry Consensus picks (Score: 4.84) had a solid week except for Friday which dropped them one spot in the overall standings to 5th this week out of a total of 14 experts graded this season.
DFSonDemand who was new to the experts list last week came on with a strong second week to jump up into 4th place in the overall standings. We’ll see if they can crack the top three next week.
