The experts had a down week overall especially on the huge slates on Wednesday and Friday when no experts were able to produce a DailyOverlay score above 4.0. The Industry Consensus picks had a good week, finishing in the middle of the pack on two days and bringing home the best score of the day on Wednesday. We also have a new leader in the overall standings, but sure to check out which expert has moved to the top of the class.
In this article, I will give a brief recap of each day we gathered and graded the experts, including how the Industry Consensus picks did, highlighting which experts were at the top for the day and which players were only called out by one or two experts, but produced an “A+” grade. I will also review the overall standings, highlighting the top experts so far this season. You can view the full NBA Overall Standings here.

Tuesday (Dec 15)
Tuesday night consisted of a mini four-game slate. The experts performed well on the short slate Tuesday with four experts receiving a DailyOverlay score of 6.15 or higher.

Wednesday night featured a huge 12-game slate of NBA action. The experts had a poor showing overall on Wednesday with no expert getting a DailyOverlay score above 3.60, except for the Industry Consensus picks.

The Industry Consensus picks finished in 1st place for the day out of 12 experts graded with a DailyOverlay score of 3.67.

Friday night featured another big 12-game slate including the 4 OT thriller between the Pistons and Bulls that generated some huge fantasy numbers for players from those teams. The experts didn’t have enough exposure to that game as the overall scores were down again with only four experts getting a DailyOverlay score over 3.0.

The Industry Consensus picks finished in the middle of the pack on Friday with a 6th place finish out of 12 experts graded with a DailyOverlay score of only 2.91 for the day.

They were led by picks of three players from the Pistons/Bulls game including Jimmy Butler, Pau Gasol, and Andre Drummond, as well as a couple of other “A+” grades from Chris Paul and Stephen Curry.
#2) FantasyTeamAdvice (Score: 3.40) finds their way into second place on the night with 4 out of 10 selection receiving a grade of “A” or higher. Key players were Pau Gasol, DeMarcus Cousins, Isaiah Thomas and Nikola Vucevic.

#1) RotoGrinders NBA Grind Down (Score 4.99) was able to overtake DailyRoto this week and move into first place in the overall standings. Their first place finish on Tuesday was the key to them moving up the standings.
#2) DailyRoto (Score: 4.97) drops into second place with a down week finishing in 5th place or lower all three days this week.
#3) FakePigskin (Score 4.73) stays in the top 3 thanks to their second place finish on Wednesday.
The Daily Overlay Industry Consensus picks (Score: 4.53) had a strong week especially Wednesday when the picks were in the top spot for the day. With the good week, the Industry Consensus picks moved up one spot into 6th place in the overall standings out of a total of 14 experts graded this season.
