The NFL regular season has come to a close. Here are the final results of our inaugural season of handicapper grading (Overall Leaderboard). The ActionNetwork took the top spot on the season with PJ Walsh coming in with the best winning percentage (71.4%) and Stuckey coming up with the highest units won (+19.4). Others that finished near the top included Sportsline’s Stephen Oh, Mike Tierney and the Sportsline Computer along with Jason Logan from Covers.

Our Consensus best bets finished over 50% for the season with a 57-54-4 mark (50.9%) but not quite good enough for a positive units tally. However, the Consensus Against the Spread picks did finish above break-even (+1.5 units) with a 51-45-4 mark (53.1%). It was the Totals that let down the Consensus and the handicappers as a whole this season.

We will post consensus picks during the playoffs but will not count them against the final grading. Also, we will conduct a deeper analysis of the handicapper’s picks and trends to see if we can develop an improved methodology for the Consensus best bets heading into next year’s NFL season.
