Welcome to Week 8 of the Offensive Tendencies article. Hard to believe after this week the NFL season will be about half way completed. With six teams on bye this week and another game in London on Sunday morning, in addition to the usually Thursday night and Monday night games the main slate on DFS sites is down to only 10 games which will narrow your choices. Good thing there are still plenty of Increased Opportunities to choose from to help build your lineup including a “gut call” on a game with sneaky shootout potential this week.
So let’s get right to the numbers and analysis…
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Tennessee Titans
Projected | Plays | Pass | Pass% | Pass Yards | Pass TD | Run | Run% | Rush Yards | Rush TD | Score |
Jacksonville Jaguars | 62 | 42 | 67.7% | 278 | 1.6 | 20 | 32.3% | 79 | 0.4 | 19.5 |
Tennessee Titans | 67 | 36 | 53.7% | 217 | 1.6 | 31 | 46.3% | 134 | 1.1 | 23.5 |
Look for the Jaguars to execute their typical play distribution this week on the road in Jacksonville. The passing game will have a very slight increase in passing yardage with their typical chance for two touchdown passes. The running game production will fall in line with their typical low level of output for yardage and limited chance for a rushing score. The Jaguars pass over 70% of the time in the red zone.
The Titans are projected to execute a few more plays than normal this week with their typical play distribution. The passing game will see a slight decrease in both yardage and their chance for two touchdown passes. The running game will produce their typical yardage but have an increased chance for at least one rushing touchdown. The Titans run the ball 51% of the time in the red zone.
Increased Opportunities:
- DeMarco Murray chance for rushing TD (+)
