I came pretty close to repeating Friday’s feat of predicting the top four pitchers on DraftKings again last night. Finished with three out of the top four scores (Jon Lester, Chris Archer, James Paxton) with Christian Friedrich and my “bonus” pick of Danny Duffy each also scoring over 24 DK points.

Tonight we have a full slate of action and a ton of viable pitching options. I expect the ownership percentages to be very spread out tonight. I will give you two aces tonight as the price point between FanDuel and DraftKings will dictate what I think you should do and with Adam Conley pitching tonight it is time for the next edition of “The Adam Conley Whisperer”.

Ace

Kyle Hendricks (FD-$8,500 / DK-$10,800)

Hendricks faces a Phillies team that was shut down by Jon Lester last night. While the Phillies are not as bad against righties as they are against lefties they still rank 3rd worst in wOBA and wRC+ against righties. Hendricks has also started to pitch deeper into games going eight and nine innings in his last two outings. Hendricks is my favorite Cash game option on FanDuel tonight at a reduced salary from the others and a viable GPP option on either site.

Jacob deGrom (FD-$9,800 / DK-$9,500)

DeGrom is slated to start the nightcap of a doubleheader Tuesday against the Pirates which could work to his advantage if the Pirates choose to rest some of their regular starters in one of the games. He is coming off two great starts pitching 14 innings while allowing just two runs and recording 17 strikeouts against two solid offenses (White Sox/Dodgers). The Pirates are a good offense too but with deGrom priced at just $9,500 on DraftKings, I’ll take the savings and use him as one of my top Cash game options. He is also a potential GPP option on either site.

Value

Adam Conley (FD-$8,300 / DK-$7,600)

Pssst. Shhhh. Go ahead and play Conley tonight. He faces a Twins offense that strikes out 24.5% of the time against lefties (5th worst) and also ranks in the bottom 10 in ISO, wOBA and wRC+. They are also without one of their best sluggers, Miguel Sano. Conley is a viable #2 starter on two-pitcher sites and as a GPP option on any site.

Darkhorse

Julio Urias (FD-$6,700 / DK-$5,900)

Urias has been knocked around so far in his big league career resulting in short outings and limited fantasy production. Now that many DFS players may have been burned by Urias and will be off of him, it is a perfect time to give him a shot. He faces a Rockies team who will be playing on the road and bring a 24.0% strikeout rate (6th worst) against lefties this season. I expect Urias to have by far his best start of the season and show why he is a top prospect. Urias is a great GPP flier.
