The nation could be asleep by halftime of this week’s Thursday night game with the Panthers as an eight-point favorite on the road against the Texans. Building DFS lineups for the showdown slate could be almost as boring as the game with an obvious Captain choice (in Cash at least). The tricky part comes with which value options to fill in at the bottom of your lineup.

It is always nice to start to get real data from the current season that we can factor into our analysis instead of relying on last year’s numbers and offseason speculation for playing time and effectiveness. The Hot Sheet will continue to get stronger as the season goes on but meanwhile, I can use what I saw in Week 1 to help shape but not overreact to expectations for Week 2. The Week 2 slate should be a fun one with numerous high Vegas point totals and fantasy-friendly game scripts.
