NFL DFS Expert Grading and Recap – Week 4
The NFL season has reached the quarter mark as Week 4 has come and gone. This week saw Sportsline provide the top DFS recommendations, followed by Rotowire and DFSKarma – Cash Targets.
The Overall Leaderboard still has plenty of volatility in the Top 5 but Rotowire moved into the top spot with their strong 2nd place showing in Week 4.
On to the Week 4 grades, class is in session!
Consensus Recap – Week 4 – Cash options
The Industry Consensus Cash picks finished with a strong 8th place showing out of 35 experts graded.
QB (Score: 1.33 / Rank 21st out of 34) – only mid-level production from the three QBs on the list
RB (Score: 5.60 / Rank 6th out of 35) – crushed it at RB with two “A+” plays (Christian McCaffrey/Wayne Gallman) and an “A” from Austin Ekeler
WR (Score: 2.50 / Rank 6th out of 35) – it was a tough position this week, but the Cash consensus managed to find Cooper Kupp (A+) and Kenny Golladay (A)
TE (Score: 4.50 / Rank 15th out of 35) – had three of the top eight TE scorers, led by Will Dissly (A+)
D/ST (Score: 2.60 / Rank 12th out of 26) – led by an “A+” from the Patriots but not much else

The Industry Consensus GPP picks struggled except at QB and D/ST this week with an overall 27th place finish out of 35 experts graded.
QB (Score: 4.40 / Rank 1st out of 34) – crushed it at QB with three of the top five scorers including Jared Goff, Lamar Jackson, and Matthew Stafford
RB (Score: 2.50 / Rank 30th out of 35) – had Leonard Fournette (A+), David Johnson (B), and Chris Carson (B) but a lot of misses
WR (Score: 0.20 / Rank 23rd out of 35) – only Sterling Shepard managed to avoid an “F” bomb
TE (Score: 2.80 / Rank 27th out of 34) – the top TE on the slate, Austin Hooper, was on the GPP list at TE but not much else
D/ST (Score: 3.33 / Rank 7th out of 26) – made solid “A” grades from the Bears and Seahawks D/ST
Head of the Class – Week 4
Each week I will highlight a few of the top experts for the week. Here are the experts that deserve a “gold star” for Week 4 based on their cumulative grades for all players they touted this week.
#1) Sportsline (Score: 5.00) saw six of nine selections receive an “A” or better including Christian McCaffrey, Wayne Gallman, and Will Dissly
#2) Rotowire (Score: 4.83) cashed in with five “A+” picks out of their 12 recommendations let by Jared Goff, Cooper Kupp, and Will Dissly
#3) DFSKarma – Cash Targets (Score: 4.45) had over half of their 11 recommendations receive a “B” or better
Top Value – GoingFor2 / Fansided (3.13 DK Pts/$1000) both had Will Dissly and the Bears D/ST

RB – RotoGrinders – Lineup Builder / Sportsline (10.00) both had Christian McCaffrey, while Sportsline had Wayne Gallman and RotoGrinders – Lineup Builder had Leonard Fournette
WR – DailyRoto / DailyRoto – Optimizer / Rotowire (3.33) picking Cooper Kupp was the primary thread
TE – DailyFantasyCafe / Rotowire – Optimizer / ProFootballFocus – Value (10.00) combination of Will Dissly and Evan Engram
DST – NumberFire (10.00) had both the Panthers and Buccaneers
